SWC was legendary..Imagine if the show 'Dallas' was a football conference... That's what the SWC was.

I'll nominate the WAC, which is defunct in football now.
Why? Well, why not? Who doesn't love a Western Athletic Conference that includes both LA Tech and Hawai'i? Who doesn't like Friday Night CFB @ 9:30PM CST? They also make for a great place to start you career as a coach in the NCAA Football games.
I didn't realize the WAC still existed for other sports, but apparently they've kept the old model of including schools all across the country, the W in WAC be damned.
Chicago State and UM-Kansas City.

I miss the Big East a little bit.
