What is the best situation for Carmelo?

And more importantly, what teams should reasonably want him?
Right now he's a low efficiency/high volume shooter who doesn't play defense and doesn't shoot the three well. I know players change when put into a better situation, but it really seems like his game has not evolved with the current NBA. I am curious where people would see him fitting best, as well as what his value is trade wise in today's NBA.

Nobody will give up anything of value for him. Unless he waived his No Trade Clause to go to Philly or some other team with a low payroll for scrubs or 2nd round picks, he's stayuinggnin NYK

If they're swapping Love for him I don't know how much better it makes them unless he's willing to truly commit to playing D and being a small ball four. It seems like he still wants to be a wing but it doesn't fit well in the league today

I think he's going to end up with the clippers and I can see Chris Paul doing well with him but he'll have to get over not being the ball dominant wing that he's been for the past 15 years

I was going off the assumption that the Knicks would be releasing him but, if they do end up with a trade, they'll probably want more than that offer but that's probably what they'd have to accept
