What does the pitch clock do to advertising revenue?

So far the games I've watched have been 30 to 40 minutes quicker.
I don't know how advertising is sold. Does LSU receive revenue from ESPN or from their local service provider, or both?
Does it even matter?

I think the between innings breaks are the same, so from that standpoint, probably nothing. Also, the changes to time are through eliminating downtime, not really shortening normal ad breaks (that happened a few years ago with a slightly shorter between inning change).
On the other side of it, the people selling the advertisements will likely be able to show that the eyes stay around longer given the game has a better pace, so I would assume not much changes even to things like static/non-static in park advertisements.
Finally, if there was a decrease in advertising spots, it would likely create an increase in the price per spot which would offset if not nullify the decreased ad inventory.

That's a really well thought out explanation.

Only a matter if time before the catcher starts holding on to the ball. Clock starts when pitcher gets the ball, its preseason so the managers aren't going to show this yet, but it will happen in regular season

There also has been a trend to show more advertisements on a split screen while keeping the telecast going

then the clock will start when the ump makes the call and they'll give 5 extra seconds to compensate

Don't care. I love it.
Only tweak would be to make the clock only stop when the ball is released or a baserunner tries to advance.
I want to see somebody do a rushed pitch and get nuked.

I don't think pitchers mind it so much. It's usually batters that are taking up so much time in-between pitches. Calling time to take practice swings, dig in, etc.
But if catchers do that, they can start the clock when umpires give a hand gesture or whatever. Maybe give them a remote button to press.

Pitchers absolutely like to get in a groove and work quick, when they can. You’ll see way more called strikes than balls with the clock.

I wouldn't be surprised to see every team with shitty ads on jerseys and helmets. More shitty ads behind home plate. And more shitty ads superimposed somewhere else on the field.

Little or nothing.
The advertisements come when play is not happening like between innings and during pitching changes, not while the batter is taking too long to get in the box or while a pitcher is staring down the batter.
I like the new rules.

Yup. Some teams already have disgusting ads on the jersey sleeves. It's only a matter of time before everyone does. And there are already dumbass floating ads that change on the mound. It makes the telecasts look like a joke. How much longer before the every game is shown on a split screen with scrolling ads on the other half of the screen the whole fricking time?

Games get over faster so they'll fill the time with more ads. Get ready for more commercials.
The other thing the pitch clock will kill is the broadcasters stories while calling the game. Some of the most memorable moments I've had listening to baseball games are the stories told by Ron Santo or Vin Scully. They are entertaining.
I'm telling you, this pitch clock is really going to suck.

They’ll just recover the lost revenue by having 7 different three minute reviews on whether a runners finger lifted off a base for .001 seconds.

Aren't those basically a thing of the past anyway? Scully and Santo are gone, and I don't see any great storytellers out there today.

Even if Scully and Santo are gone, there are still former ex players that can tell some good stories. I'm sure the pitch clock won't eliminate it. But the analysts will have to be a little quicker with their delivery.

Right. As soon as you give all these fricking advertisers an inch, they'll try to take a mile. Just like the NHL with the annoying fake board ads that constantly change during the play that we both can't stand.
