Considering this is Day 3 of the biggest LSU melt since 1/9/12.

-Handled poorly

-Sucks for LSU

-Don't blame Florida at all (had nothing to gain)

How would you explain UF's handling of the situation when every other school in Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina came up with contingency plans?

I really can't blame Foley. If he agreed to move the game early in the week, but the storm moved away from Gainesville by Saturday, the fans and maybe school would have crucified him. Some people are also now posting that Florida would not be insured on a road game. It probably was a dick move done under the cover of safety and caring, but I get it.

Sucks for LSU but if you are Florida you don't give up a home conference game. if LSU wants to play the game they'll make it happen on 11/19.

UF/Foley gamed the system in an obvious way and have much better PR than LSU does

They legitimately thought they could play the game Saturday, and considering its UF's BIGGEST home game on the schedule in terms of recruiting, they wanted to keep it there.

The UF administration didn't want to move it, and then the hurricane forced their hands.

Its not really too hard to figure out.

Didn't have to be given up, could have been played on Sunday or Monday, or cancelled after assessing the damage of the storm. No need to just cancel on Thursday.

Yeah, lets wait until Saturday when LSU has flown into Gainesville.

Then cancel it.

there was no guarantee that emergency personnel would be available to work the game. The storm didn't really move east until after the decision

See we can actually plan for things, we had contingency plans to fly into Tampa or Tallahassee brother.

ETA: Say for instance they came out and said we will play Monday night in Gainsville, we wouldn't leave for Florida until Saturday which would give them more time to decide if they would have the personnel to work the game and then they could ultimately cancel the game.

Imagine the backlash alleva would get if it was an LSU home game and he decided to move it to Florida or play it right after a cat 4 storm came through when there was a perfectly good date later in the season to make the game up at home.
It's a no brainer for UF. Blame the SEC if anyone.

Don't bring logic into this discussion.

Which is something else LSU fans screwed the pooch over. They wanted to force UF to go to BR by saying "We need a decision. Quit the delaying tactics."

So UF said "Fine, No game"

Had LSU fans just took a wait and see attitude, the game would have been played
