I think we are getting a little caught up on the big numbers here. I also hit a pitching wedge 155. But I miss the green on the reg with a pitching wedge. Just because the 3 wood goes far isn't what I'm excited about here. I'm simply wondering if it is even worth it to have two clubs in the bag that go similar distances used for the same purpose. Cause i'm not going to be hitting this thing into a green obviously. I'm just considering dropping the 3 wood and adding a 18-19* club instead.

Just wondering if its a stupid thing to every take "distance" out of your bag.

So you believe someone can hit a 10.5* driver 315 right? why can't you believe you can take 4* off that and hit is 25 yards shorter?

Oh I'm just trying to get some advice on a gap situation at the top of my bag and it quickly turned into a pissing match.

Then you can add another wedge. 60 or greater could easily be added.

Driver is weakest club in my bag.
I'm a 4 handicap and gaurentee you the worst most inconsuisatnt player known to man with driver in my hand.
So furstratiing not to be able to hit that club with the consistency I can with irons.

I may park it for a while and work on the 3 wood.
Idk... Sucks.

290 sounds weak for a RBZ ( 14 degrees if your speed is 118-120

I wonder what the responses would have been if you hadn't said a distance. If you are just as consistent/accurate with the D as the 3W, drop the 3W and add a 5W or something like that.

Which is more accurate the driver or the 3 wood? Drop whichever is less accurate and pick up a 60 wedge. With your distance you'd probably hit the thing 100+ yards and spin the shite out of it. It would be a great club for you I'd imagine.

shite, I've been hitting my 3W and Dr the same distance lately (significantly less than the OP) with the 3W finding fairways and the Dr finding woods so the driver has been in timeout for a few weeks. Even with 13 clubs I'm better off than having the driver mock me
