Cyclocross. Much shorter than its road cousin and more action

Rugby - highly entertaining. Not really obscure I guess, but too low in popularity.

Cyclocross is awesome, especially in the rain or snow. Downhill and enduro is pretty badass to watch too.

Kabbadi
Gaelic football
Aussie rules
Lumberjack games
Sumo
Strongman

I would burn summer days on fricking end playing ncaa dynasties on one tv and having midday ESPN on another tv tuned into sumo/strongman/lumberjack

Indoor soccer used to be good on ESPN. I wish more beach volleyball was on TV.

I also wish to add the hammer, discus, javelin, and shot put. These field events where you can accidentally kill someone would be cool.

Bullfighting. Cruel but I guess I can understand grand traditions involved.

Probably root for the Bull more often than the a-hole Matador.

They need to out big wave surfing competitions on there even if not live (obviously due to not being able to schedule exactly). Regular surfing on tv is pretty damn boring but when the guys are charging 30-50 foot waves it's pretty damn compelling.

When did ESPN stop showing lumberjack games? I liked the K1 kickboxing they used to show.

I think it'd be awesome to see another show like Top Shot. That show was great and some of the trick shots were incredible.

I'm not sure why kickboxing isn't more popular. Fast paced and violent.

Calcio Storico Fiorentino - Think of it as football combined with MMA. No rules.
