The MVP is such a strange award in the NBA. Usually there's a runaway candidate but I would be happy with any one of like 6 players winning it this year

Real easy to say right now. Way to pretend like you knew this would happen 4 years ago.

I never said I predicted his injuries.

I am saying I never liked his approach to the game.

I never watched him and said WOW.

I say that all the time about Curry, Bron, Westbrook, AD, Durant, CP3

why would anybody in their right mind respect the NBA ROY and MVP, right Captain Hindsight?

Plenty of people were talking about Rose's MVP being bullshite when he won it. Even before he was actually given the award since it had been obvious for a while that he was getting it

Is there any casual NBA fan on this website that actually believes D Rose deserved the MVP in 2010-2011?

Not really Rose's fault his ligaments aren't as strong as Westbrook's. That's just like, life, mannn.

I want Westbrook to win the MVP, because it'd be funny to watch a team have two MVP's in consecutive years and not win a title.

Does that change the fact that he had a fantastic year? Just because he didn't deserve the most prestigious award over Lebron doesn't change that it's laughable that someone wants to talk shite when his only downfall has been injuries. And he is still young enough to overcome them.

You guys are focusing too much on the injuries.

Westbrook is a better player than a healthy Rose.

Add to that the fact Westbrook plays through pain and it compounds it.

I never liked Rose's game either. He isn't a good jump shooter and his entire game was dependent on driving to the lane and jumping into people and throwing up shitty layups and hoping he would get fouled.

Yes, but no reason to slight Rose.

the only difference in westbrook and rose in that year was that rose got to take 3 more shots per game

That and the Thunder actually had a competent offense with another superstar.

You were laughing at a guy that basically said rose was overrated even before the injuries, and then used his bs mvp to back your stance. Now it's 'he still had a fantastic year even though he didn't deserve mvp'?

The fact remains that people were saying rose was overrated before the injuries, and before the mvp. So take your captain hindsight bullshite somewhere else.

I'd hardly call OKC's offensive philosophy competent. Have you seen Westbrook's counting stats without the other superstar on the floor? That's helping his MVP case, not hindering it.

..I have to put him at 2nd in the MVP race behind Curry.

Considering he's missed almost a third of the season and his team is teetering in/out of the playoffs I'd have to say...uhhhhh No.
