Well San Diego... it's been fun... but you can likely say bye to the NFL

Chargers' stadium initiative (Ballot Measure C) did not pass. Chargers' future in SD now uncertain:

Shame. San Diego is easily one of the most pleasant cities in the country. An NFL team is a pretty big draw for people to move there. I think the city deserves an NFL team.

Good for San Diego. frick the NFL for trying to strong-arm taxpayers to pay for thier workplace. Want hundreds of millions for 8 home games per year, 24 hours of use.

They don't get that much local support. San Diego would rather keep Comic-Con.

I don't blame either party. I don't blame the Charger ownership for wanting more money and I don't blame the voters for telling them to pay for their own damn stadium.

Have you ever been to SD during a football season? They don't care.

That's what happens when your owner treats its fans like shite

Hell every time the Raiders play there, 2/3rds of the stadium is silver and black.

I travel a lot to that area for work

Wife and I were there in September and we were IN San Diego at a bar on a Sunday afternoon and they had the Rams game on the main tv and the Chargers game on a side TV. I couldn't believe it

Los Angeles can't support two teams, so I think it's best they stay in San Diego.

San Diego doesn't have quite enough trashy for the NFL.

I think the new stadium in LA is like 45 miles away from San Diego.

They moving down the road literally.

Agree to a point. But if it's a retractable roof venue, it can double as a convention center and be used 200+ days a year. Superdome is a good example of doing it right.
