One or two rounds a week well toss back some beers. End up getting drunk on one of them. Usually when we play a two man scramble. Use it as a pregame for going out.

re-engineered his rescue with a steel shaft

Thinking about doing this to my driver and tinkering with the weights to see if I can get enough distance out of it to make it worth it. I just can't stand graphite shafts for some reason.

I was in line behind Scott Steiner and Buff Bagwell at New Orleans Hamburger on Vets in 2006. I think Bagwell's height was inflated, because I'm about 5'10 1/2" and I remember us being pretty close in height. He was 2x as wide though.

Yeah, Hacksaw was just a big framed guy. And you could tell he wasn't on all kinds of synthetics.

Just brute, old man strength.

He's a big guy no doubt, but not quite 6'2" or whatever they had him at. I didn't dare question it in person because I'm sure roid rage would have ensued.

Ok, let's think about this. Where would somebody find a steel shaft, 45 inches long, and how would you be able to fit it into the 910 head?

Think of all the b.s. you went through with the rescue. I'd imagine doing it with a driver would be damn near impossible.

Tour Van

Would you really want a 45" steel shaft?

You couldn't without doing a lot of custom work. and there's no reason you should play a steel shaft in today's drivers.

The interwebz?

ETA: The 910 is probably a .350 tip, so it should be a lot easier to find the Titleist tip and a .350 Steel shaft, than it was to find a .355 tip for that TM rescue. I had to order it from London!

I don't know. But it'd be fun to try it.

Just got off LSU, shot an 88. Pretty good for me.

Parred 1, 8, 12 and 17 Birdied 13 on a chip in.

Surprising I shot the score I did, since I sprayed off the tee and only hit 4 fairways. I did hit 6 GIR though.

You can be 0/14 there and still have a decent round...

On the contrary, I hit 11 fairways yesterday at Shell Landing...with two of them barely missing in the first cut, and only one truly poor and played like dogshit.

I know I only hit 5 or 6 at Santa Maria on Sat and I got torn to pieces.

I hit a good teeshot right down the middle and only left me with about 150. I missed the green to the left and got up and down.

A VERY rare occurrence for me.
