Why would LSU want Crean?

IU recruiting is light years easier than LSU recruiting

LSU fans are wanting a coach that can make the tournament 2/3 years with a sweet 16 run every now and then.

Which is exactly what Crean did...............At IU.

So we would have to assume LSU is on equal footing as IU in terms of basketball to get the success we want.

Put it this way, if a football coach went to Bama, and was fired, and at Bama he was only able to make a few outback bowls and an Independence bowl, would you want Mizzou to hire him?

This saddens me. The guy was a clown, good for entertainment, and was an absolute doormat for UW.

I too am confused as to why anyone at LSU would want him. The guy is at a blue blood basketball school that basically recruits itself and he still can't make the tourney, even in a down year for the B1G, and you guys think that he would somehow be successful at a school where hoops is a complete afterthought? That makes no sense.

They should throw the checkbook at a Brad Stevens and see if he says no

He's not leaving the Boston Celtics, where he has been very successful, for a college job.

LSU basketball would be a better job than Wisconsin basketball. LSU has more money to spend on basketball and the recruiting area is better and Wisconsin has to compete against a better program in Marquette whereas LSU has no in-state competition.

Indiana is still a better job than Wisconsin.

Ah, Ralph, you're the best.

I especially loved the "better program in Marquette". Hey, you guys had a good season this year. You made the tourney. That's a big deal for you guys.
