This should be another great fight for boxing and I think that Kovalev will be out for blood in the first half of the fight.

I think Kovalev will finish ward this time and I believe he seriously wants to hurt him from all the pre fight interviews.

The problem is, if he doesn't get him early, does he run out of steam like the first time?

I still have it Kovalev by ko in the first 5 to 6 rounds

I think this will be a GREAT fight but.... I think Andre shows how great he really is and wins a close but clear unanimous decision 7 rounds to 5. Kovalev is a great fighter and could easily pull off a win so I'm super excited.

I think it will be good but Kovalev is on a mission. I think he is out to hurt ward.

I never get into the hype of the pre fight talking but Kovalev is all business right now

Second fight usually resembles the first fight. It'll go the distance, Ward decision IMO.

It'd be very odd to see Kovalev KO or TKO Ward unless he just didn't train or take the fight seriously. He can want to hurt him all he wants to but Ward isn't some weakling that's powerless to stop him.

So Ward Kovalev and Canelo GGG are the same card?

Ward didn't win the first fight. That was a gift decision.

That said, I'm going with Ward here on points. Ward is a smart fighter will learn from what got him in trouble in the first fight.

And it's at the T-Mobile Arena in Vegas.

Canelo wins via decision. He's already up 3rds on the scorecards....Oscar arranged it.

Well yeah, I think we'd all agree.

OP was saying he expects a KO, and I was just saying that's very rare to see in a second fight when the first fight was very competitive.

Yeah....I think you'll see the difference in skill in this fight. Ward gets a convincing 7-5 or 8-4 decision. Kovalev will have his moments, though.

Yeah I'm leaning Ward by decision. I don't see Sergey outboxing Ward in a rematch.

Adonis Stevenson made Fonfara look bad last week, interested to see how this division shapes up.

I felt like Kovalev won the first fight, but I also think that Ward solved him in the second half of it. Kovalev isn't the type of guy who will adjust. He is who he is--he's gonna try to steamroll Ward early. Ward is the more cerebral fighter and I would guess the entire fight this time looks like the second half of the last fight and Ward wins a pretty uneventful fight by clearer decision.

That said, I'm super excited to see this matchup again. These guys are tremendous fighters still at their respective peaks and they showed pretty good chemistry in the first go-round.
