In this case hang around the NFL as a QB for about a decade and a half.
BTW, the notion that Matt Hasselbeck is a mediocre QB is just BS. No he isn't Peyton Manning, but he's been to 3 Pro Bowls, led the Seahawks to a Super Bowl (and BTW led them to knocking out the Saints in the first round after our Super Bowl season) and at age 40 led the Colts to back-to-back victories when Luck was out. That you would suggest he's mediocre just highlights your own ignorance.

Some would argue that we have a mediocre black President who was reelected.
I knew someone would pull Obama out of their rusty arse. I knew it. How in the hell is Obama mediocre when his mother had a PhD and his father attended grad school at Harvard; Obama himself has an undergrad degree from Columbia and a JD from Harvard? Obama was the Editor of the law review. And, Obama taught Constitutional Law at the University of Chicago's Law School But, he's mediocre?

Mark Ingram is a Pro-Bowler. Being a Pro-Bowler ain't shite.

From nfl.com and Pro Football Reference:
Couch: 59 career starts - 59.8% completion percentage
JaMarcus: 25 career starts - 52.1% completion percentage
Leaf: 21 career starts - 48.4% completion percentage
Akili: 17 career starts - 46.6% completion percentage
Tebow: 16 career starts - 47.9% completion percentage
Couch is an outlier but he also had a significantly higher comp percentage. Tebow had the fewest career starts even though I'm pretty sure he's the only person on this list who has a playoff win.

Jason Campbell also cashed NFL paychecks for a long time.

What are we measuring, qualifications or results? Carter was a graduate of the Naval Academy but that doesn't mean he wasn't a crap president.

I disagree. If you're mediocre and White you can be a CEO or even President of the U.S. or in this case hang around the NFL as a QB for around a decade and a half. That's privilege. Being mediocre and Black gets you? Not a damn thing. That's racism.
There are plenty of mediocre black quarterbacks floating around in the league. I'm not sure what the random reference is about being president but if you refer to W he's not a random mediocre person, he's a guy born into a political family with enormous connections. If you haven't noticed our politicians are determined, not by the quality of their ideas, but by the quality of their donors and connections.

Has nothing to do with him. You can be better or worse than your parents.

George W. Bush also has two Ivy League degrees. Kind of diminishes the value.

A professor is judged by contributing to the body of knowledge in his or her chosen field. Care to link to Obama's scholarly works?

RG3 is riding pine so the Redskins can cut him at the end of the year. That's it, no huge racial conspiracy all about cap room next year.
