Personally, I don't think you're upset at the rule. I think you are upset at the fact that you can't comprehend the rule..

As for the "pussification of America" , I think that tells many things about you. One is that you never played baseball in your life other than perhaps on your playstation. Another is that you don't understand that baseball is merely trying to avoid the concussion lawsuits that the nfl has been facing. In addition to Posey and his destroyed knee, they had multiple players missing significant games due to concussions sustained from home plate collisions.

The rule actually makes a lot of sense on both fiscal and humanistic responsibilities. And it takes nothing away from the competition other than some activity you can watch in WWE.

I had a collision at the plate Freshman year of high school. My spleen was lacerated into 4 pieces. Spent 3 days in the hospital on morphine. Two weeks on bed rest and held out of physical activity for like 3 months. Not how you wanna spend a summer as a 15 year old kid.

And it could have been avoided if the catcher got outta the way without the ball. Ball wasn't even close. Didn't change the play. Just a catcher refusing to give up the plate.

The rule is good.
