That's just it, if it isn't a big advantage as people say, why were they spending money to do it??

Why take the chance of getting caught for minimal advantage?

So it's either, Michigan is extremely stupid to take that chance for minimal to no advantage or it's a huge advantage and fans, Michigan, coaches who don't want their dirty laundry out and people who just hate the NCAA are full of shite

This is my question.

They had access to Michigan’s computers, so it would seem it was internal.

Not sure exactly why I don’t care about this, but I don’t

Maybe it’s b/c it’s would make it so easy for teams to use stolen signs and signals against the stealer in a Mike Leach dropped game plan sorta way, or more likely, if Michigan has been doing this for 3 years, the SEC has been doing it for a decade

What's fascinating is not many coaches have come out and bashed Michigan. I wonder how many are doing shady shite themselves so they'd rather just stay out of this

Well coaches are the ones ratting them out. Because not many go to this length and expense to steal.

They may not say much in public, but coaches are the ones saying this ain’t right.

Actually there are a lot of coaches saying this is way beyond normal same-game sign-stealing

Schiano at Rutgers basically said it during his halftime interview this season:

X

People thought he was nuts when this first happened.

Nah, it sounds like someone internally leaked this info out.

WAPO…. Can’t believe people still think that’s a news organization.

Besides all this direct evidence, there is circumstantial evidence too.

For example, I’ve argued with my fellow OSU fans about Day vs. Urban, after the last 2 seasons, and I’ve pointed out Urban had to face much easier teams overall, and these previous 2 seasons have Michigan has had 2 of their best teams in history. Plus Day didn’t get to play that 2-4 Michigan team in 2020. I never really put these to things together, but not only did they suddenly get like a touchdown better than Harbaugh’s 1st 6 years, but they were trending in the wrong direction after 2018. Not common for a head coach to have a huge improvement after that long, especially since their recruiting hasn’t improved and they didn’t have a Burrow-like addition.

More circumstantial evidence, is apparently they had were <50% against the spread period to 2021, and have been something like 66% against the spread since. That’s a high percentage.

In addition, Josh Gattis won the Broyles award as OC at Michigan in 2021, then leaves for Miami, and was fired after one season.

Their performance against TCU also raises questions since they have not been a team on the scouting list (maybe that will change). And after TCU beat them, and UGA barely beat OSU, I think most thought the National Championship would be at least competitive. We know how that turned out.

None of these matter that much compared to the direct evidence, but Michigan obviously had a huge turnaround, without some massive talent increase, and they weren’t hugely underachieving (besides 2020). They were similar to Tressel’s teams. Solid talent, well coached (particularly on defense), but struggled against teams with equal or better talent, especially when they had a lot more speed (like OSU and sec teams, even Penn State on occasion).

Just google what coaches think of it…It’s either “no comment” OR “if that’s true that’s egregious and illegal and unethical and a crime against the game”

Haven’t heard a single coach yet say that he doesn’t have a problem with it if allegations are true

OK. But then you’re banking on this info to be wrong, and I don’t think that’s a good bet. WaPo may be bad, but that doesn’t mean every story is wrong, particularly when there is a lot of detailed evidence.

WAPO isn't even one of the main organization breaking this story

That's a good question, if it was internal, they would have stop doing it during the investigation.

This is where it's plausible this is a firm hired by a 3rd party, such as Ohio State boosters.

“That comment at half was strictly about my frustration with things that had gone on at half with officiating,” Schiano said in his first public comments since the allegations came to light Thursday. “It had nothing to do with (anything else).

I’ll wait for the facts to come out. The National enquirer, err…. The Washington Post doesn’t have a very good track record with stories like this.
