People are getting absolutely full tard with this. Have people never been to a crowded bar? The video is standard operation procedure.
It was wrong of him to punch the chick, however she made the first aggressive move by raising her fist. Then he held her hand basically telling her to knock it the frick off. He lets go and she hits him. Then he retaliates. I don't agree with what he did, but I don't feel sorry for the girl.
And she should absolutely have the same charges that were brought onto him.
