How badly would the women's team get beat?

Something like a 5-0 game or a 10+ to nothing blowout?

20-0 blowout.

Barcelona's youth teams (probably as young as U-12) could beat the U.S. women.

If the USMNT was only allowed to play with five players, then the USWNT (with 11 players) might be able to keep it within 10.

That may be going a little far. It would get exhausting with that little.

They could score 100. My friends travel team beat Canada's national team when they were 14 and 15 years old.

I'll put it to you this way. Me and a bunch of random dudes beat a sweet 16 women's team in pickup basketball. No way that should have happened.

I also think this is too young.

Yeah. I had a buddy who played on the practice squad for the Aggie women. They won a national championship with an All-American Center Danielle Adams, and he regularly dominated her. Now obviously the guys were more motivated because these were their gamedays, but there were only a couple of girls on the team that he really respected as basketball players.

No way. Look at the size of the women. The best 11 year-olds in the world could beat them, no problem.

Crap. I just googled the average height for 11 year-olds, and it's shorter than I thought. You might be right. 13 year-olds perhaps.

Ya that's too young.

In men's competition teams have beaten teams by 30 or 20 so no doubt in my mind usmnt could drop well over 30. Too fast, strong and way more technical.

I just don't think I see it. 11 year olds aren't going to be very strong or fast. How many of them could even play a full 90?

i agree. i think starting at age 13 or so is when it would really get interesting. you have to have the physical advantage, that's kinda the whole point.

as for the US men's vs. women's team, id say it'd be 10-20 to 0. you have to remember that it is still soccer. anything like 4-0 or above is an absolute pounding. i would like to pinpoint it better than a 10 goal range, but it's really hard to say without seeing anything like it.

Fair enough. I'll admit that this is largely conjecture on my part.

My understanding is that the U.S. women were on the same level as men's U-19 select.
