It is a kid who played for Seven Lakes this season. 33 days ago he tweeted about his last game against Mayde Creek. Then he transferred to Katy, apparently waited 15 days, and got to dress for the Friendswood game. Not sure if he played, but he was on the roster - albeit in italics like all the other JV call-ups who are not expected to play"

if that's it then they should be disqualified for being stupid enough to let that happen.

Even though there's zero advantage to that

Guarantee it's a mailbox in an empty field situation.

If this is true, a program I've had a lot of respect for in the past just went crashing away.

Looks like winning games has finally become more important in high school/college than shaping the character of young men.

How are you a Baylor fan then?

Lol college football has been that way for a long time. High school football, not so much.

They got DQed on the way to the title game because some backup tight end who forged his report card played 3 plays in a blow out win.

Eyewitness Sports Reporter David Nuno has learned that it involves a player who transferred during the season from another Katy-area school. The playoff eligibility of that player is what's in question.
The player came into Katy's blowout win over Friendswood last weekend when the Tigers were up 66-0.

Wow. They've given up 38 points (while scoring 671). All season, in 13 games.

Not even close to records.

Aledo scored 1,000 in 2014. Daingerfield gave up only EIGHT in 1983 (and had 14 shutouts along the way including all six playoff games).

But I would be surprised if Katy gets DQ'd. Only inner city schools get penalties from the UIL.

Katy got pulled from the state title game years ago.

Mores rumors coming that the kid did play, but was blessed by the district ahead of time. He played when the game was already 66-0. Sounds like he moved in the middle of the season and their is question on whether or not he coudl play for two different teams in said season. Attendance zones are pretty cut and dry. It isn't like LA and private schools. Although maybe the parents bought a home in Katy and were not truly living there yet.

The violation was also self reported. I am guessing they just were not paying attention to who they put in for mop up duty. They put a bunch of JV guys in there at the end of the game b/c they were beating Frienswood so badly.

The player in question participated in the last PAT of the Friendswood game. They obviously didn't need him to win, so it will be a tough pill to swallow should they be disqualified. My son attends Katy and films the games.

Please let this be true. We've beaten those retarded farmers once in 15 years. Let their cheating finally bite them in the arse in a ho-hum situation.

This "ho hum" situation is the result of this young man's single mom losing her job and being unable to stay in their home. They moved to an apartment in the KHS attendance zone. Word is he sat out the required amount of time. Feel better about yourself Golden Guy?

Yeah, hopefully a bunch of 16-18 year olds can't play football because of a zoning technicality regarding one player.
