It will be interesting to see what happens with Andy Toole.

He was hired by Robert Morris when he was 29. He's now 34 and has won over 60% of his games. Robert Morris has actually performed well in the NEC, but Toole will probably need to lead them to an NCAA Tournament.

I also imagine Steve Prohm may make a move from Murray State at some point. Alabama in the cards? Maybe?

Bryce Drew

If he's got anywhere the recruiting prowress as his brother I think he could do nice things at a middle of the road program in a power conference.

I suppose it is just a matter of time until the bigs come to get Tim Cluess from Iona. He was offered the Iona College head coaching job 5 years ago. He had a proven track record as a HS and D-2 coach, but had not coached at the D-1 level.

In each of his 5 seasons at Iona he has won 20+ games (this year we are presently 22-6 with a chance to clinch the top seed in the MAAC Tourney today) and has taken us to the post season in each season. I am just hoping that Lavin stays at St. Johns, because I think that may be a gig he'd leave for, having played at St. Johns.

Iona has a history of losing men's basketball coaches to the bigs. Jim Valvano left for N.C. State; Pat Kennedy left for Florida State; Kevin Willard left for Seton Hall (not sure that's working out for him).

Others are the head coaches at Dayton, La. Tech, and of course, Shaka Smart at VCU.

I'm interested in seeing how Orlando Antigua does at South Florida in the next few years. He inherited a shitshow but he's a great recruiter who might be able to capitalize on bringing guys into that Tampa/St. Pete area.

And I wonder if Jeff Capel is ever going to look at an HC gig again or if he's just going to hang out on Coach K's staff.

Yeah, I was coming in to say Keith Richard should get a bigger job soon. He walked in to a huge mess in Monroe, APR problems, less scholarships and no talent. He has the team playing great ball now. Dude did amazing work.

This will be one of the very few times I agree with you.

shite, I'll even give you an upvote.

While I was disappointed in the outcome, that was a great college basketball game.

Yep, for several years. He did ok, but kind of ho-hummed along. What he as done turning around the dumpster fire that was ULM basketball has been extremely impressive. I hope he sticks around. And I think the 8-9 years he spent not really advancing Tech's program will keep some bigger schools away. Plus he an "NLU guy" so that may help keep him here too...

I've got a feeling he's waiting on Coach K to retire. His father is the AD at Duke. And he turned down the opportunitty to interview for the TENN job last year.

You heard it here first

Dude was awful at tech when he was head man. That's why he doesn't get press.

Marquette is having it's worse season in 25 years. That's not all on him since they basically lost the whole team from last year but Wojo hasn't shown much yet.
