Of course I do. Every time I drive on I-10 past the place, there's some gas stations, some fast food joints, and lots of pine trees. I mean come on, I'm sure Burger King over there pulls in some famous peeps.

But on a serious note, a little jawing back and forth is always fun. I've always been diehard Cajun fan, and I do pull for LSU unless they are playing the Cajuns of course. And I know a lot of LSU fans look at this bowl as no big deal, but what a lot of you guys don't understand is the 1-2 win seasons that I have sat through in Lafayette. I'm not talking Curley Hallman 4-5 win seasons. Again, 1-2 win seasons. That's what made last night so special. It's a lot like when LSU went to the Independence Bowl back in 1995. Even though today that bowl would be an underachievement, fans back then were on cloud nine.

I was cheering for ULL. Started talking with some ULL kids at the bar and all of them had to tell me how they got into LSU too but they just wanted to go somewhere different or some variation. Then I said "awesome" and dropped it because I didn't give a shite

I'm a fan of both schools, every rebuilding project has to start somewheres. The win last night, albeit the new orleans bowl, is a giant step for ull. The acadiana area could support a winner, will they ever be lsu hell no. But could see a average attendence of 35K. Which for a mid major isn't bad at all.

I know ULL students/grads like that too They all claim that could get into LSU but that's not the case with some of them. I know what type of ACT scores and GPAs they had in high school

Lol at a parade for the NO Bowl.
On the other hand, it only happens every 40 years.

LSU fans are delusional, paranoid, and greatly exaggerate. Plenty of people walked by in LSU shite and I heard no one say anything to them.

WUT. Paranoid about what. ULL has a good season every 40 years or so. We are good.

Read the rant. Everyone hates LSU, no one respects LSU, refs are out to get LSU, etc.

For the record, I got accepted to both... Chose to stay in Lafayette because it was better financially for me and my family. Glad I did but it has nothing to do with dislike of LSU. I just like the intimacy of supporting a smaller athletic program. I still pull for LSU, I was raised to. I think the jack asses who hate on LSU year round are an awful representative sample.

In the end, it's all good fun. Both sides seem to strike a nerve with each other, it's rather entertaining.

and congrats to the Cajuns.

Striking a nerve is an understatement...

Pissing each other off is more accurate.

I don't hate LSU, but will always defend my alma mater whenever a debate comes up...that's just how I'm wired.

Yeah, god forbid we celebrate a complete turnaround for our football program.

You act like LSU's team never sucked. Gerry DiNardo, anyone?

Exactly. It doesn't help that some LSU fans feel the need to shite on us anytime we're mentioned in a thread.

They don't pull this shite for other in-state schools, but when the 2nd largest school in the state has ANY modicum of success, they lose their shite. And these same people swear they're not insecure.
