every now and again you'll have a good, legitimate discussion about athletics and what have you, but for the most part, it's a broken record with the same people bitching and whining about how the admin sucks, how nobody calls them Louisiana, and how they want out of the Sun Belt (just lost to fricking Idaho and more recently New Mexico State, 2 teams that are getting BOOTED from the conference..simmer down, we aren't going anywhere anytime soon)

Beating Idaho and New Mexico State consistently would do more for this than trying to be called "LA".
I'll laugh the next time they are on ESPN and it still says "Louisiana-Lafayette".
Hell, even ESPN's website still calls them ULL. They don't give a frick what ULL wants to be called.

ULL trying to be UL or now LA really bothers me a lot more than it should. Driving from Texas the other day, I got so angry when I saw the sign that read in bold letters "University of Louisiana" and in smaller print below "Lafayette"

Why is there so much vitriol for ULL?
LSU being the massive SEC program of the state, ULL is nothing but a dog turd on the bottom of their shoe. Personally, I kind of like ULL. I generally pull for all of the programs in the state unless they are playing Tulane.

I know the reasoning, but I still don't know why people really care. ULL's message board fans are delusional, but they are pretty much alone. They're in their own little world over there
