You mean when he destroyed the 2 best UFC HWs of his era?

They were both chumps at that point of their careers and the fights were in Affliction so they might have even have been fixed even though it was in the US but regardless the UFC HW division has always just been a sorry arse division. I mean nobody has even had more than 2 title defenses so I wouldn't call ANY UFC HW a dominant fighter.

So what happened when he left Affliction and went to Strikeforce? He lost to UFC great Dan Henderson who was a great LHW but is, and always should have been, a 185er by 1st round KO. Can the GOAT HW really get KTFO in the first round by a guy that should be fighting at 185? Also, Bigfoot knocked him the frick out in the 2nd round and Werdum made his arse tap in the 1st.

Bottom line is as soon as he got to the US, got to a real organization and fought fighters who were not dogshit at that point he couldn't make it out of the 2nd round.

LoL... yet he beat Nog who became UFC champ. He lost 3 fights, eventually it happens to everyone. Still doesn't change is body of work.

GTFO

Bigfoot didn't knock him out, ref stoppage due to cut

Sylvia had just fought for the UFC title in his previous fight and Arlovski just had a #1 contender fight in the past couple of months.
So he was 34 years old and got caught by TRT Hendo (who weighed in at 207 lbs so NOT a MW)? Big deal. Bigfoot has popped for steroids multiple times and the fight was stopped by the doctor over a cut, not a knockout.

I like how UFC fanboys think that everything in Pride was fixed because ONE fight (Coleman/Takada) probably was.
Even still, why would a Japanese promotion fix fights for a pudgy Russian guy?

And got KO'ed by Ray Mercer is 9 seconds in his next fight after Fedor

He has had a resurgence as of late but when he fought Fedor he was doggy doo-doo. He was in Elite XC before the Fedor fight and lost his fight after Fedor to Brett Rogers in 22 seconds.....and then lost 2 more before finally beating the mighty Ray Lopez in the great organization ProElite1.

Bottom line is after Fedor these 2 bums lost their next fights in 9 seconds and 22 seconds to Ray Mercer and Brett Rogers so it shows you what kind of fighters they were at the time.

Yeah I guess Arlosvki and Sylvia were never as good as the likes of Jeremy Landron and Joe Duffy.

They would both have to make weight. McGregor hasn't been preparing to make 145.

As many times as he pulled out he might want to step up for a change.

It's gonna end up being Cerrone which is lose/lose for Conor.

What do you not get about "at that point of his career". If you follow MMA, and I know you do, you know that AA was just HORRIBLE for a few years before this resurgence he is having.

Except he was on a 6 fight streak and ranked top 5 before the Fedor fight.

If it is Cerrone he is not gonna make weight, not at 155. Not starting 3 days after he fought at 170 on 11 days notice with his jacked up stomach. If he somehow does he will be almost dead on fight night with no IVs to recover. I mean look how bad he was against RDA and he blamed that all on the weight cut and no IVs and he had months to get ready for that 155 fight.

And then he lost 4 in a row including get knocked out in just a few seconds by Brett Rogers

ETA: Also, you never addressed the 3 losses in a row Fedor had that I posted. Why is that?
