Same, DC is gonna ragdoll the shite out of him.
I just dont see it. DC did nothing against jones wrestling wise... nothing. I dont think he is going to outwrestle rumble. whats going to happen is he is going to eat a uppercut trying to take rumble down and is going to wake up 5 minutes later wondering if he made it to new orleans yet.

He's going to take Rumble down, wear him out, then choke him out.
Eta: I keep going back and forth.

I don't know why, but I think Rumble is going to whip his arse. I like DC though.

Some very interesting mma math scenarios if Rumble wins.

Not really. If you can fight, you can fight. He has a lot of reasons to get personal shite off of his chest.

I saw him lose while I was sitting ringside as a guest of Dana White on the same card as Anderson Silva, Frankie Edgar, Cain Velasquez and a lot of others......it was the best thing ever!

DC/Rumble Preview
THE PICK: I am a bit surprised Cormier is the favorite here. Johnson has looked like a monster since moving up in weight, and his technical skills have finally caught up to his prodigious physical gifts. From a purely stylistic perspective, this seems like a rough matchup for the former Olympian. Johnson is the more powerful and likely the more polished striker, while his outstanding takedown defense means this will probably be contested on the feet. In that scenario, Johnson’s power and constant pressure should be the difference. Playing an in-and-out game that mixes punching combinations and takedowns against Roy Nelson or Frank Mir is one thing, but “Rumble” is an entirely different animal. If Johnson can maintain a measured pace and avoid overcommitting to his strikes, this is his to lose, and I think that he will land something big on the counter in an exchange. The pick is Johnson by knockout in the second round.
Vitor/Weidman Preview
THE PICK: Despite Belfort’s devastating run over the last several years, I think this matchup favors Weidman by a wide margin, perhaps even wider than the betting odds indicate. Belfort is not getting any younger, and the lack of testosterone replacement therapy for this fight certainly cannot help him. From a stylistic perspective, Weidman is longer, throws more volume and has the pressure footwork to consistently walk down Belfort and take away the space he needs to work his counter game at range. He is also drastically better in the clinch and wrestling phases, and from top position, he holds an enormous advantage. I expect Weidman to pressure relentlessly, chop down Belfort’s legs and body with kicks and push him up against the fence, where he can work his clinch and takedown games. The American will likely eat a few shots in the process, but he is tremendously durable, and I have a hard time seeing Belfort knocking him out. Moreover, the cardio advantage has to go to Weidman, especially in conjunction with his attrition-based approach. The pick is Weidman by submission in the third round.

Answer to your questions. Jones not only to come back but will get immediate title shot upon return.

So basically they should be using a piece of paper instead of the belt this weekend.

Yawn.....
Jones was rightfully stripped and suspended. Doesnt matter to me if he got beat for the belt or not. He doesn't deserve to have the title. I'll consider whoever wins a legitimate champion.

Yep, they'll be the champion until beaten. The crackhead may or may not get a shot at them if he cleans his act up.

What's the point of suspending someone only to grant them an immediate title shot as soon as they return?

because he has kicked everyones arse he has fought. why should he have to prove his skills against anyone? jon jones doesnt have anything to prove in the ring other than he is better than whoever ends up with the title.
outside the ring he has some proving to do though.

Because there is no guarantee that the crackhead gets his shite together enough to come back and you can't just leave belt inactive while waiting for a crackhead to get his shite together.
