I'm not sure if this is a worse look for Alabama or the Monroe PD, depending on your perspective.

ETA: IRL, it isn't.

On a sports message board where "As the Plains Burn" went to 100+ pages, it will be viewed by some as a crooked arse police department targeting two major players who left the state to go to the arch rival.

Personally I don't think it is a bad look at all for the Monroe PD. If you're in possession of drugs and a stolen firearm in a vehicle, it certainly isn't their fault.

Bama will really suffer during their suspensions against Western Kentucky or Kent State

Maybe, but it is a felony charge for Robinson.

Along with misdemeanor possession, Robinson was also charged with felony illegal possession of stolen firearms.

Yeah, I'm not going to blame the Monroe PD for this one.

How can this be a bad look for Monroe PD?

I wonder why Cam and Hootie even hang out. They come from different worlds. Cam likes to laugh at him when he looks at other girls. Sometimes he's crazy and he wonders why he's such a baby 'cause Nick Saban made him cry. But there's nothing he can do..

Had they gone to LSU, might have turned out different. Monroe PD did nothing wrong

OP needs to update. Possession of a STOLEN firearm. Major difference.

Huh? How could arresting two fools with drugs and a stolen gun be a bad look for the department?

How is arresting someone with a stolen firearm a bad look for the police?

I'm racking my brain. Can't come up with any perspective that makes Monroe PD look bad.

To the layperson, it isn't. To a hardcore Bama fan, it can be viewed as the hometown boys taking out their frustration on two guys who left the state.

As someone else already said, if they had gone to LSU, this may have turned out different. As someone on the SEC Rant said, if this happened in Tuscaloosa, we may have never heard about it.
