I just dont see IT being great for years to come. Its hard being that small and always trying to score.

The question is do you EXTEND him this summer or trade him this summer at his highest value point. Or don't do anything and look to trade him next year but his value willl drop because he will be a UFA next summer
Don't extend him, try to trade him next year and it will be a PR disaster. If you do trade him it has to be this summer. IT is by far the most popular Celtic since KG

How about trade the 1 for Jimmy Butler, add Heyward and IT is the 3rd best player on the team but still a handful because now he is one on one and not with the opposing teams best defender. And Butler and Heyward defend their asses off.

eta: and brad stevens is their best asset imo, this is not a 50-odd win roster

I think the Celtics need to keep drafting and building they are in a very unique situation a playoff team with top lottery picks
I don't see how you get rid of IT but I do not feel he is a max player
PG and Butler are both 27. So they both are still young
Plus I think Stevens can make anything work so he just needs more talent
I personally would go the draft and not the win now mode.
