They'd get really close to winning it all, he ends up leaving the school, and then the next year with the next coach they win it all? Would be poetic.

But I wonder, like others have said, if he could be a coach. Just because he can perform at a high level, doesn't mean he can teach it.

This is the first year he isn't essentially running the offense and look at the results

Kubiak gets work as an offensive guy and I think it's pretty clear that manning is better than he is at running an offense

Elway got a lot of credit, but running off fox was pretty bone headed. Kubiak isn't the reason they're undefeated, bum's kid is...Gary kubiak has the distinction of turning the GOAT into a bum. Not that kubiak is that awful, something about a square peg in a round hole

I'm typing at the speed of light and my phone is a buggy POS that lags behind. I hit submit sometimes before it even types out the words which it obviously autocorrects misspelled words because the keyboard is so tiny

I think he gets a front office job like Marino or maybe even Elway, but it will be with the Tennessee Titans.

I could see him bartending at Manning's giving life advice while he towels off a glass.

Well I actually think it's clear he's a big time competitor and workaholic

I can definitely see him as a guy who eats, breathes and sleeps football.

Guys like that channel their competitive urges and workaholic ways into stuff like business or golf. Look at Roger Staubach -- he's a big time real estate guy in Dallas. Manning already owns a bunch of Papa John's in Denver. For some reason, I picture him really going into business and popping up on TV every now and then. I can't picture Manning as a coach...maybe as a president or GM.

I see him become a minority owner of the Titans and working in a similar capacity as Elway after taking a couple years off. He already owns part of the Memphis Grizzlies, I believe. His wife is from Tennessee and he is a god there.

Peyton Manning will be calling SEC games for CBS when he retires from football.

I'd be interested to see if he could do it. Much like Brady, I'd assume they would expect the QBs to do way too much.

He doesn't have the right mindset to coach. Few great players do. He threw his teammates under the bus as a player, as a coach he'd be even worse.

I don't think he'd make a good commentator either. He talks like he has a mouth full of marbles. His dad has more of a twang but at least he annunciates his words.

He should just enjoy his retirement and do whatever the third or fourth best quarterback in NFL history does.

I don't think he'd be a good player coach. X and Os yes. But he'd hold individuals to unfair standards I think.

Or he could be Spurrier.

I could see Elway thing too.

However, Elway did go to Stanford.

Also the Grizzlies ownership was done for celebs and other rich folks when the main owner couldn't get approved without splitting up ownership. Tons of folks own a very small piece of that team.
