Chipper got a ton of gifts last season.

Really cool stuff. The broken bats chair is pretty freaking awesome.

Seems pretty unique to baseball compared to other sports.

Definitely a baseball thing. The Cajuns and South Al have a long baseball rivalry and when their coach finally retired, Robichaux gave him a fishing pole before the game.

Kareem got a gift from basically every NBA team when the Lakers faced them.

He got a yacht, a Rolls-Royce, Conga Drums, a Shotgun (the Jazz actually gave him a real Shotgun), a Persian Rug, a Saxophone, a Flute, Sterling Silver framed jerseys, a Harley and a Rocking Chair...among other things...

Nice prominent placement for a Marucci Bat.
Not sure if good or bad.

Those were bats he broke weren't they?

I think it's an awesome gift and I love how clubs do this to all time greats. Really classy and cool thing to do.
