If I was playing in the MLB at 19, I'd be a huge douche too

i'm pulling for him to do well, every sport needs an antagonist and he clearly is polarizing a lot of MLB fans already. i didn't think he did too bad last night

If their pitching holds up in the 9th last night, he wins the game. He got the lead in the 9th in a hell of a pitchers game.

yeah, if not for the wild pitch everyone would be talking about his game winning RBI.

eta: he also had a hell of a throw from LF that should've been an out

Damn, kid is FAST. I don't think the umpire was expecting it to be that close, pretty late call...I actually think he beat it.

Hairston Jr forced that ball out of Ramos' glove and K Rod just threw too many wild pitches last night. We should have won, but deserved to lose.

Seriously this. You are a total bad arse, I would act like one. I just like the way he plays, he plays with the kind of attitude lebron severely lacks.

Exactly. They should still be talking about it. The kid is 19 and gave his team the lead in the 9th and if Ramos learns how to catch a perfectly thrown ball, they could win. Oh, and it was his first game, on the road, in Dodger Stadium. Not some middle of the mall shite.

Harper is basically Josh Hamilton had he not gotten strung out on drugs and alcohol.

Complete package at a phenomenal level.

so what you you're saying is he played well in a half full stadium where the majority left to get on the freeway and beat the traffic

But seriously, I meant the prestige of Dodger Stadium.

I mean when Hamilton was first drafted he was widely thought of as the best baseball prospect ever...had he not gotten mixed up with addiction, it would have been him breaking in at 18 or 19...Harper just didn't have those problems...and on a prospect level, Harper has gotten way more press than Hamilton did when he was that age.

Harper isn't on Hamiltons level now, but he certainly has the speed, power, and arm to be better than Hamilton one day....as hard as that is to imagine.
