Tulane’s defense is one of the best I’ve seen them ever have. They are tough

Stadium packed and the team showing up.
Years past they would have shite the bed. Not this team.

This should be bookmarked anytime a coach with success in the G5 has a rough year.

I remember a vocal minority getting impatient with Willie Fritz. It's really tough to sustain success every single year at a program like Tulane. There are going to be peaks and valleys, but a proven coach can turn things around with a young roster.

Was the best environment I’ve experience at Yulman. The stadium opener against Georgia tech was legit. The great come back against Houston was fun.

But on this Saturday there aren’t many stadiums better than Yulman as far as the crowd and atmosphere.

And yes I left at half time.

What in the hell was Fritz thinking going for thst fourth down ?

And yes Ned, the atmosphere is as good as it gets for Tulane football. Uptown in general was buzzing before the game.

Fritz is now trying to teach me a new lesson in supporting a longtime head coach.

My buddy is Memphis’ athletic trainer. He gets a 5k bonus when they get win 6 and this’ll be loss 3 since win 5. He’s starting to get on edge.

they're gonna whine that the local news in NOLA doesn't lead with them...

quote:

Except no one is blaming the local media for the lack of fan support. We're blaming them because we're THE local college ball team and don't even remotely get the local coverage we deserve, ESPECIALLY not for a 6-1, bowl-bound top 25 team.

quote:

I mean are you trying to tell me you can read a census? I don't recall saying these places have a higher population (though Jeff has for over a decade now), only that there are TONS of Tulane fans/alumni/donors/supporters outside of just Orleans Parish.

I don’t think so. The stadium would be full every week if so

quote:

That's a terrible overall indicator of fan support. So you're saying because the Yankees don't sell out a Sunday afternoon ballgame that it's because the support for the team isn't there? Now I AM gonna disparage you lol, that was a dumb remark.

quote:

I would like to know what your indicators of fan support are… obviously it’s not stadium attendance, or stadium size. Probably not tv audience either… in case you haven’t heard, college football is run by capitalists

They're really going to be mad in like a decade when the local news airs UNO football highlights before Tulane highlights

What the hell is Memphis doing? Should've kicked like a minute ago but insane pick by the Tulane DB ends it

Yea it really was. Just a great weekend all around. Perfect weather. Boo at the zoo with kids this morning and then Tulane game with oldest for a half. City park tomorrow morning and then the Pels season opener.

Every once in awhile living and raising kids in new Orleans is still pretty, pretty great.

Congrats guys.

I have friends who traveled down there and said they have never seen Tulane that pumped for a game.

Hope you guys get the NY6 bid.
