is there a problem with that? he has done it for like 16 years and never won a playoff game. after all the hardwork and being the best player at his position ever, he finally won one. pretty awesome moment for him.

Who gives a frick if he cried...good for him for not caring what people think about him getting emotional. You try doing something for 16 years and finally getting through the wall.

TG is a class act and crying shows that he cares...likely more than most. What a bitch, though, right?

He thought his career was coming to an end with another shitty loss. He's been in the league a long time. Let's stop with the tough guy bullshite.

And others have cried for far, far less.

Did he ever even go to a bowl with Cal when he was there? That plus 16 years without a playoff win despite multiple teams is a long fricking time to work towards something and not get it. Haters gonna hate.

Damn, there are some sad, sad people on this board.

He's been playing football his whole adult life and just accomplished something he had never done before in what may be his very last season.

The joke is on Tony. He thought this was a good day, catching a ball to set up the FG that gave him his first ever playoff win (after some bitter defeats). I'm sure his day is going to go downhill though once someone points out that some dipshits on a message board feel like he should have celebrated differently.

Tony Gonzales First Postseason Win of Career

Good for him.

I know he can't be "elite" because he only has one playoff win (according to some on this board), but he's been a classy guy for a long time, changed the TE position forever, and may be legitimately discussed in the "GOAT" conversations.

I think it's between he and Winslow.

Hat's off, Tony

Good for him. Even as a Saints fan, I still appreciate his great career. Just wish he could have done it with another team

Had they won 30-20 I doubt he would have cried. He admitted that after Seattle took the lead he thought to himself, "it just wasn't meant to be."

After the season he just had, no way he retires unless he wins it all. Not after getting his first taste (however brief) of playoff success.

Shannon Sharpe and Ozzie Newsome could be in conversation as well

Sure could. I don't know why, but I always forget Sharpe. But both should be at the table.
