When does this dude's seat start to get hot? Assuming they lose tonight it will be another disappointing year.

It just seems like his teams underperform every year in the playoffs whereas his biggest division rival steps it up every year.

I know the Steelers never fire coaches, but just curious to see what others would think.

I think they really missed a top two running back in the league tonight.

I wouldn't say it's a disappointing year. This team was never predicted to be special because the defense had too many questions coming in to the season.

I think they really missed a team that didn't suck tonight.

And to your underperforming in the playoffs every hear comment, that's just false. He's taken 5 Steelers teams to the playoffs. 2 reached the Super Bowl, one won it all.

Personally I lump the Steelers in with teams like Patriots, Broncos, Ravens, 49ers, Packers, Seahawks and Saints that it's disappointing regardless of expectations of you don't atleast win a playoff game.

Very soon. Kevin Colbert is the Steelers General Manager and he's responsible for the talent brought in over the last 5 years. Tomlin can't seem to get it done. Tomlin has zero personnel decisions.

Not on the hot seat at all especially with the steelers. How many coaches have they had in the last 30 years? By far the fewest in the nfl.

Sure, his playoff W-L mark is almost all in that Super Bowl season of wins. But, most years Baltimore just has a better team, and is better than Pitt at their own style of ballgame.

I do think things can run their course and need change for the sake of change. But, he is a competent HC. I have always thought in most years that the Steelers to be more limited than many other folks very high opinions of them. I think they normally utilize their physicality to oft beat many better teams that are more finesse oriented..

Ravens are their kryptonite/Bizzaro World Superman..and currently have more stars..better Offense..better OL/DL.

Balt/Pitt one of my two or three modern era favorite rivalries.

-Payton's success has been more recent

-The Saints, unlike the Steelers, haven't had success outside Payton

I'm not saying he needs to be fired, was just curious to see what others felt. I used to love Tomlin, but lately his team's have underwhelmed me.

Colbert is the one who should be fired. His Mike Mitchell and Cortez Allen offseason decisions look absolutely awful.

Not sure what you're getting at here. Pitt is a passing team. This isn't the kind of Pitt team that would duke it out with Baltimore in a run-first toughness battle.

Payton and Loomis have screwed the Saints via Draft and FA..

NOS deserve where they're at..and even worse..where their headed..been very inferior in personnel decisions and salaries in recent years.

If he cared about coaching as much as he does his swag he'd be the GOAT.

Balt-Pitt know each other too well, there are no surprises. Balt can better line up and straight execute what they are attempting to do vs Pitt, than vice-versa. Pass or run, Balt can better stone Pitt than vice-versa even if the games are close in margin. Pitt's OL deficiencies like you say, have made BR and Steeler attack more one-dimensional..especially when matched vs say Balt.

Pitt is way down on the OL from the past decade in regards to Balt, which has done a better job of reloading as the years went by.

Balt beats Pitt at LOS when it comes to nitty-gritty. And John Harbaugh is a better Playoff HC than Tomlin, his team elevates their game greater in most years.

This. Dan Rooney is the most patient owner in sports and it has paid dividends for him multiple times. He could have fired Cowher at multiple points before he won the Super Bowl.
