And then he averaged 130 yards passing the next 2 games.

In one of those two games, he played a little over one quarter. Be fair.

His QB rating was basically Jay Cutler, stop with acting like he was the reason it turned around.

As a first-year starter, he was 6th in the league in QB ratings, and finished with a better QB rating that year than Manning did.

Yep. Brady got injured in the 2002 AFC Championship Game. He was 12-18 for 115 yards when he was knocked out of the game in the second quarter. The Patriots won 24-17 and only scored one offensive touchdown the whole game. The other two were off a punt return and blocked field goal.

Ok. But in fairness that further lends to my point that he wasn't the driving factor behind winning that title, so if we can question whether Manning deserves to be recognized as having 2 titles, if Brady missed a half of the AFC CG, that further lends to my point that the same goes for Brady's 1st title.

A win with 1 offensive TD...So kinda like the Super Bowl you give him credit for but not Peyton.

Gotcha!!!

Fair and balanced!!!

Brady led his offense to 10 points, which is why the last second drive and FG was needed just to get to 13 for the win. But all credit to Brady!!!

1) Brady was knocked out of the game in question early in the second quarter and did not return.

2) Brady at least threw a TD pass in Super Bowl XXXVI whereas all Manning did in Super Bowl 50 was throw an interception that cost his team points and coughed up a fumble that almost put Carolina back into the game. 194 yards of total offense and 11 first downs!

Manning had the worst season of any Super Bowl-winning QB ever in 2015. At least in 2001 Brady finished just outside the Top 5 in passer rating. So yeah....I am fair and balanced. The stats support Brady more so than they do Manning in this particular case.

Old broken Peyton outplayed Brady head to head just 2 weeks before.

The Patriots finished with almost 100 more total yards (336-244) and 8 more first downs (20-12). Brady threw for 310 yards compared to Manning's 176. The difference in the game was turnovers and a missed extra point.

The Patriots lost that game, the Broncos didn't win it.

You mean Brady's 2 interceptions

Both QBs were bad that day. Brady was getting crushed. He completed less than 50% of his passes and had a passer rating of 56.4

No QB is good with that much pressure

dude

The Broncos defense beat the shite out of the Pats. Not to mention that the Broncos also gifted the Pats a turnover resulting in a 22 yard TD drive

That might be the most delusional thing I've read on this board.

He has lost touch with reality.

Brady did play poorly in that game, but by the AFC Championship Game he was down to his fourth string offensive line; Gronkowski (knee strain) Edelman (broken foot), and Amendola (knee sprain) were limited with injuries suffered just weeks before, and his most capable running back (LeGarrette Blount) was out due to a hip injury.

It's a testament to Brady's greatness that they even had a chance to tie the game at the end. If the Pats are healthy on offense for that game, the Patriots win by two touchdowns.

Let's forget that they lost to Denver twice that season.

GTFO.

The sore losers are still out trying to rationalize their failed positions - using their 'data'. Here's some data: Tom Brady will retire with just about every meaningful NFL QB record, including most Super Bowls ever won. Really happy that so many of you recognize that Marino (especially) was a great QB and that the likes of P. Manning and Brees are locks for the HOF, etc., etc., ad nauseam. But history will continue to confirm that the GOAT NFL QB (if not player!) is none other than Tom Brady, your feeble and plaintive arguments notwithstanding.
