A lot of people can hit a wedge 160 yds... I "can" do it too if I want to but I don't unless there is a wind at my back and the situation calls for it.
So many people get hung up on yardage... it's different for everyone depending on their ball flight. My ball flight is very low because I have a tendency to deloft all of my clubs... it makes me hit the ball a little farther with less club but it doesn't mean I'm better, stronger, or faster than the next guy. Really good golfers can probably hit a 3 club range at all yardages depending on how they want the shot to come off.

Phelps is like a 20 handicap (I'm sure he'll be better now that he's retired), but a 160 wedge isn't all that difficult if you have a flyer lie, and the wind is at your back if you generally hit your wedge 140.
More importantly, I'm so excited for this weekend. I wish I was going to be there, but I'm going to try and make it when they play at Bethpage in 2024.

We seriously need to pound the Euros back into oblivion this weekend. Between Sergio's press conference this morning and how smug he looked to Rory's constant cracks about the task force, it's time to shut them up. I am all in this weekend

i'd mock a task force myself ... it's like the dumbass government ... "let's get ourselves a task force for this problem" ... whoa! ... we got a task force over heah ... the problem is the europeans have outplayed us, which a task force has no bearing on ...

I agree, but considering the golf world lost an original, a founder of the current tour, you's think there would be a little more respect coming from Rory, Garcia, and McGinley(sp???) and less mouthing off. Garcia is being an epic hypocrite.
If there is ever a time for both teams to show more class and respect for the game and the competition it's now and Palmer deserves it!

Duval is so right on this, and he actually played in the Ryder Cup. Brandel's best finish in a major is T18.
People sucked when they played with Tiger. I think Steve Stricker made zero birdies in four ball at Medinah. That was an embarrassment.
