How dare you interject logic & common sense in a Tiger thead?

Oh wait, you did it for the benefit of the TV orthopedic surgeons.

He just had back surgery. Why would he play through spasms and risk further injury to finish 43rd in the firestone that he's won 8 times?

Then why keep playing after getting hurt on the 2nd hole? Didn't wince in pain by the way.

He might have tweaked it on 2 and then started with spasms on 9. I don't give a frick.

They just talked to Notah on TGC. He talked to TW after he landed in Florida. He said he felt the twinge when his right foot hit the bunker.

I call bs. He would've shown something.

But what's the odds of an honest person like Tiger lying?

On the money

Wouldn't surprise me if he tries to play this week.

Of course he was. He couldn't even take a step.

Honestly, Tiger hasn't been the same since Y.E. Yang took him down in the PGA. His huge advantage was his mental game and mental edge over other players. That has all gone now and his body isn't doing him any favors. Tiger's confidence is shot and it's clear that he'll have to have a Hall of Fame type finish in order to beat Jack's record.

Whether you pull for Tiger or not, it's just a shame to see such talent disappear like that and not live up to it's potential.

I agree, but man, it is great to see Rory playing some good golf.

He sounds about as confident as you can be.

Tiger's fine. He won 5 times last year, a couple times in runaways. Got back to #1.

Jack slowed down at this point too

Yes. Yes. Yes. I remember that look on Tiger's face when Yang sank his final birdie. Tiger looked liked that bully that just got punched in his mouth. I had no idea at the time that that was the being of the end of Tiger's dominance, but indeed it was.

Pretty sure he "lived up to his potential". Yeah he is a couple shy from catching the bear, but the guy is still one of, if not the greatest golfer to ever live.

Good post and analysis.

Unfortunately, Tiger's brought a lot of it upon himself. Firing Butch Harmon was a mistake. All of the mistakes he made off the course finally caught up with him and effected his play inside the ropes.

He's had a good run, but I think the Fat Lady's in the wings warming up. Oh sure, he'll win some regular Tour events, but I'll be surprised if he wins #15.

You're in the "minority" here. People on here are probably popping champagne at the thought of a tiger injury.

The vast majority of them don't know what champagne is.

Just popped a 1970 Dom, oh so smooth.

My woman seems to like it too.

Oh boy, sex for me.
