There are 100+ college basketball teams that charter or own their plane.

*THE* pro women’s league wants to terminate the NYC team for doing what even Fordham does.

People actually watch those games.

Well yeah, but they have billions of booster dollars subsidizing their expenses.

If it weren't for this boards obsession with pointing them out, I'd have completely forgotten the WNBA existed long ago.

Yeah, this board is absolutely bizarre. I care just as much about the WNBA as the rest of you, which is none at all, but this board just continues to love to post about it and then rant how it shouldn't exist and none of you ever watch. It's the same boring shite every time. So...just stop posting about it?

This.

This board acts like the WNBA is pushed down our throats but I’ve seen more WNBA news on this board than I have in the actual news or ESPN

I think what charter flights represent in the world of sports is it gives you a little bit of validation," Seattle Storm guard Sue Bird said in February when explaining the importance of the issue. I wonder what many WNBA players/stars think of this war between Russia and Ukraine and all the economic sanctions on Russia. Don’t a lot of wnba players go make their real money in Russian and European leagues?

WNBA's schedule should run along side the NBA and then play their games as an opening act.

WNBA doesn’t charter flights? That’s honestly pretty pathetic

Why don't they play all their games in a bubble site and charter flights for their fans? It'd be cheaper.

They could do a quick game at halftime like biddy teams used to do at the PMAC

There’s a weird aspect to the WNBA where they make themselves very obviously beggars, and it seems they want to keep that status.

They want to have their cake and eat it too.

This is why you don’t give these types anything. They immediately act like it, and more, is owed to them. These jets are nothing more than some wealthy person getting their pet a diamond collar.

so-called ‘scandal’ in the WNBA

The WNBA presenting itself as a legitimate self-sustainable professional sports league is the real scandal

WNBA should change their business model to emulate the youtube guys that travel from playground to playground playing against locals.
