I'm up. Won't be for much longer.

Nadal looked good out there.

Going to watch Fed play a couple games and then call it a night. Going to DVR and will watch tomorrow. Hopefully he rolls and the match probably won't be anything special but having already seen Nadal on court and now Fed soon to come REALLY gets me pumped that the Aussie Open is underway.

Nadal looked pretty good last night. No signs of injuries or discomfort. Despite what he said pre-tournament, he wouldn't have played in this unless he thought he had a chance to win it. He's really nothing more than the Lou Holtz of tennis - just always downplaying himself b/c he feels better playing the underdog role.

Other than that, I found the other first round matches to be kind of boring last night.

Almagro/Nishikori
Townsend/Wozniacki
Lopez/Kudla
Azaranka/Stephens
Pospisil/Querry

are some decent matches today.

This is actually reasonable. Way more so than your conspiracy theories. Stick with this line.

Rosol ain't beating Rafa on this court.

Ugh, Sloane down a set and down a break in the 2nd set. We need a comeback!

How da frick is Vika unseeded? Was she injured last year? Vika wins, 6-3, 6-2.

Yeah after the Aussie Open last year she barely played at all due to injuries. I think she's ranked in the 40s. She'll probably play Caroline in the next round.

She made the US Open quarters, then only played 2 matches after that rest of year and one 1 warm up match before this years Aussie Open which she lost.

Isner's match has started (on ESPN3).

Some jackass on the Tennis Channel predicted him to make a run to the final last night. I nearly threw up from laughing.

C'mon Dennis!! Would be a huge upset over Lopez. I'm glad to see Stevie got the W.

Well F. Kudla just blew 3 match points against Lopez. It's going to be really tough to come back from this.

Uh oh, Denis blew two match points and it's back on serve. I don't know if this will continue, but full credit to ESPN for allowing Tennis Channel to carry what they are not broadcasting.
