My DVR cut out before the last set. Murray was looking more game running down everything and winning all of the long points. He looked to be in great physical shape. How did he lose 6-0???

Djokovic was in better shape and Murray quit.
Murray was up a break in the 3rd, and then lost 12 of the last 13 games; including the last 9 in a row.

Djokovic is going to win the Grand Slam this year.

I would be salty if my over got beat that way. No shame for Murray. He has a Wimbledon, US Open, and a gold medal. And he's playing in an era with 2 of the top 5 guys all time, and Novak probably between 5-10.
There are pretty much only three guys right now who can play insane tennis for 4 plus hours. Novak, Nadal, and Stan. Even Stan he admitted he was out of gas the other day and Nadal's fitness probably isn't quite back yet. The sport is becoming an endurance contest. It's funny how a guy that I think has withdrawn from matches early at every major is now the undisputed fitness king.

Nadal is the only guy who can run around with Djokovic for 4-5 hours.
Even though Djokovic seems in control and looks like the better player in most of those matches against Nadal (at least it seems that way to me), no doubt Nadal frustrates Djokovic at times.
I don't know if anyone else can do that to Djokovic.
And yeah, literally when it was 3-3 in the 3rd, I just needed Murray to win one more game. He lost the next 9. frick him. Never talking to him again.

Apparently overall but it really did appear in the first 2 sets when Murray was winning all of those long points that he was out working him. Perhaps Djokovic was ropa doping and waiting for Murray to punch himself out. They did mention during the game that Murray had upped his fitness training to better try to compete with Djokovic. I was just shocked that Murray could look that much more game early on only to fall off so badly in the last set. I guess he really did just give up.

Literally at that point as long as each player wins one more game in the match, I win my bet.
Sorry dude. That sucks.

No he isn't.

But his build just screams "I can run forever". His breathing problems early in his career were odd, because he looks like a guy who could run all day.

Probably true. Grigor strikes me as a guy who could run for days, but he's just not quite ready to hit shots with Djokovic for 4-5 hours.

It seems that way to me too. I'm a massive Rafa homer, but I'll be the first to acknowledge that Djokovic can push him around the court -- basically move him back and forth like he's got him on a goddamn string. The fact that Rafa wins a lot of those matches is just a testament to his mental fortitude. He just keeps himself in the matches by sheer force of will, and eventually Djokovic (1) loses his head or (2) gets frustrated by how hard he has to work to win every point against Nadal despite controlling them or (3) loses his head because he's frustrated by how hard he has to work to win points he's controlling, and Nadal capitalizes and sneaks away with the match.
And I should amend that by noting that Djokovic definitely seemingly has Nadal on a string during their hard court points, but on clay they're much closer to even when rallying (though in their 2012 match Djokovic was just working him over for a significant stretch, and Rafa may owe that one to a rain delay).

Murray frustrates Djokovic from a style standpoint.
Nadal frustrates Djokovic from a "making me run for 4 hours" standpoint.

Yeah, I'm also not sure it was fitness, or if Murray had just resigned himself to defeat. Murray's head is often his own worst enemy.

Whatever you say, Bobby. If Nadal can't get back to 100% he will because no one else will beat Djokovic in Paris.
