Why does Azarenka continue to be a short favorite in all these matches when she's just been pummeling a bunch of good players?

And if V. Williams can win her next match, we've got a shot at an all-American quarterfinal and an all-American semifinal on the women's side.

Potential an all-Williams semifinal.

Serena has to win her matches too. Azaranka is playing well.

No talk of Madison Keys bending over Kvitova and going to town?

The match the round before the Kvitova match was the first time I'd seen Keys play, and was very impressed. She's legit. I think she's better than Sloane Stephens. She hits a much cleaner ball.

Why is The Great Great Rafael Nadal -280 against merely Kevin Anderson?

Johnny Mac absolutely killed Sloane and even before he got into it was like "I know I'm going to get a lot of criticism for being mean," but basically said his sources tell him she is an uncoachable prima donna. While Lindsay Davenport is pretty boring on the Tennis Channel call, I think it's cool to have her doing that work, then rushing around to coach and watch Keys blossom like this.

Nadal as only -1000 against Sela. I think the oddsmakers just feel like Nadal will be upset at some point, and so they don't want to lose too much when it does happen.

Yeh we were teammates in college, and srill best buds. Technically I was his "coach" for the U.S. open But anyway he won again last night against the 5 seeds and is now in the round of 16. They have a solid chance to make the semis

Are you friends/acquiantances with any of the other American players? It seems like the pool of challenger level players and better is a pretty tight knit group. I always see Sock, Williams, Kudla, Smyczek, Krajicek, Sandgren, et al goofing around in pictures from challenger events and such.

5 dimes had it at -830 at one point. I'm mad at myself for not jumping all over that. They only give you free money like that every so often. I mean, Dudi freaking Sela vs. The Great Great Rafa Nadal? Hell, Ferrer can't even beat Rafa...how the hell was Dudi Sela gonna do it?

Would make more sense if this were Wimby. He's never just randomly lost at Aussie.

I can see that. I heard her mention at one point that she doesn't really like tennis all that much. Which....can be a problem

Agreed on Davenport.

Are you suggesting Johnny Mac isn't connected? I think you underestimate the incestuous nature of the tennis community. It's a tight little club. If Mac said she's a prima donna who isn't easily coachable, it's probably because she's a prima donna who isn't easily coachable.

I'm suggesting his source is probably his brother.

And if she's a prima donna who isn't easily coachable, she is far from the only one on the WTA

I am good friends with Tim and Kuznestov and those guys, they are my age. Those other guys were about 4 years younger so they were little little kids to me when I was playing. But yes they are all tight knit because when you are on the challenger circuit you see these guys every weekend in crappy little towns. They become your family

Genie dropping the hammer. Overzealous Canadian sports fan/Genies Army guy is super annoying. Let me guess, with all of the red Maple Leafs on you, you're Canadian, right? Stop acting like 14 year old Ultimate Hog worshipping a chick tennis player and have some self respect.

Dimitrov beat Murray 2 out of 3 times in 2014. Hoping he pulls it off again tonight.
