McPhee is honestly far and away the most successful GM in DC sports since Beatherd left the Redskins. Think about that (also McPhee was a good GM... yes, he made a terrible desperation trade near the end of his tenure but that doesn't invalidate the other decade and a half).

The Lightning now have to beat history and the odds to pull off the unthinkable now. Thought the Lightning might pull off the comeback last night but the Rangers played their best period of the series in the 3rd. I keep going back to it, but the resiliency shown these playoffs/finals is quite impressive, especially from this Rangers team.
It all comes down to game 7 and the way this series has been. Who knows what teams we get that night but one thing is for sure. The Lightning have a huge mountain to climb facing such a seasoned team at home in a game 7. Like I say though.. " Nothing worth having is easy"

yea he sucked alright. Only won the Cup 4 times in 4 seasons. Something that took your loser Rag$ 90 fricking years to do, and yet all you hear Rag$ fans do is thump their chests about their "storied history" Fricking BS right there. if you want a storied history in the NHL you look at the Habs or the Oilers. Not the fricking Rag$. Just because they play in NYC doesnt give their legions of meatheaded fans a reason to brag abut a "storied history" The Knicks are the same way. Shite team all around for decades and yet they some how have this great legacy that their fans thump their chests about.

I think you miss the point of why the Rangers say "Potvin Sucks"
It is not because he sucks as a player, because he broke a Rangers' ankle.

Baloo, McPhee was average at best. He never made the correct moves to put the team over the proverbial hump. He had a chance to improve the defense when they had the young guns but he failed to seize the opportunity. don't try and rewrite history.
