The flag-waving over getting a bunch of teams in and advancing in the tournament is kind of gay with these super conferences. You had arguably the best basketball conference already and then ripped Cuse, Pitt, Louisville, and ND. This would be like the B1G adding Kansas and UCONN (which could have happened), then 
when they make a run. I keep forgetting that Maryland is even B1G at this point.

I am not rah rah conference guy, but with GT getting a new coach, and VT in year 3 under Buzz, the conference is only going to get better next year.

That's pretty insane. I think Buzz made the wrong career move, but I can see him making it based on conference strength.
Although I will miss the old Big East, I like that they have hunkered down into the Catholic basketball league.

I'm biased because I live in it, but I find the media circle jerk of the BIG 12 SOS funny. Their resumes are hyper inflated because of their RPI. A bunch of really mediocre teams somehow get credit for getting beat up in their conference. A team like TexasTech was a bad basketball team this year, but their games within the conference boost their numbers and hey, here's an 8 seed. It's laughable really.

Really? Yes, they won 3 straight vs top 20 teams. They also lost 7 of 8 at one point in a 30 game season. Bad my have been an exaggeration, but TT was not a good team.
