People must be wanting to play 6 hour rounds and be behind 4 fivesomes playing a scramble. The worst pace of play at any golf course I've ever set foot on.

Do you still get taf points for your fee at UC?

no, you have to donate $150 to TAF once a year in order to continue your membership. So that is on top of the monthly fee. You do get TAF points on that $150.

And I'm not sure what the regular monthly fee is for UC, but it is unlimited golf and range balls. You do have to pay for the cart.

I doubt that will be the case at a private course.

This is an interesting idea. I'm close to that course for the next 3 years at least.
I'd pay 3-4k maybe, but 6k is stretching it for me right now.

Also be interested to see who joins. Could be fun to get a bunch of familiar faces to join.

I wish you the best. Already miss the convenience of the course.

Sounds like an interesting plan.

I'm wondering how one would sell their share, say if they move away. (Assuming the project gets of the ground successfully.)
Will there be a waiting list from new members/shareholders? Is 450 set in stone?

My wife and I were literally filling out registration forms for Chris Burkstaller's golf camp for the kids when I found out the Oaks closed. Sad.

Maybe I'll send you an email.

Nope. But I live close and would practice there often. Also played there many times.

The membership will be capped. Thus creating a waiting list to join. New members would have to purchase stock from a member who is leaving.

The 450 is not set in stone. 400 is very very workable. We have had several people interested in investing only and not becoming a member for various reasons. We will have to limit how many "investor only" people we accept. I want to make sure that your stock isn't devalued by selling too many shares. Max shares will be 450.

Send me an email if you have any questions.

Thanks BP I got everything handled. :) I appreciate it and I wish The Oaks all the best. Unfortunately being a young family we just don't have the money to become investors. Hopefully one day we will be able to join back up.
