Man what shitty evaluation skills in the Caps front office. First they fire BB then they trade for Erat, which is a shitty move in and of itself but to top it off they traded Forsberg for him

Rangers are going to bounce back tonight. Hank will look like his old self and the Rangers will shorten the bench on D.

Save your off season posts for the off season fellas!

To be fair, pretty much every NHL insider and writer wanted Boudreau fired. In fact, I remember being the only person on the board who thought firing him would be stupid. I wanted the Caps to double down on firewagon hockey.

The Erat deal was terrible, but it was made by a guy desperate to keep his job. All in all, I think McPhee was a very good GM. He built the Caps from nothing. Worse than nothing, as they had to get out from under the Jagr contract. He just got too attached to guys on the roster and couldn't get them over the hump.

C Gretzky
LW Ovie
RW Howe
D Orr
D Lidstrom
G Hasek

I'd consider Hull as my sniper, but Ovie gives me both a great scorer AND a physical presence. Gretzky, Howe, and Orr are the complete no-brainers, and you shouldn't take any list without them seriously.

Now, if I can break their positions slightly, I'll move Mario Lemieux to left wing and leave Ovie at home.

As far as tonight's game, if Tampa doesn't fall for goon hockey they should win.

I think Krieder and crew are going to have to run at Bishop and the forwards (within limits) to win. Tampa's offense is just too good right now.

That Triplet line is playing well.

The Lightning have a huge opportunity tonight, hopefully they seize it. I'm expecting a hard fought game because both these teams have no quit in them. The Lightning have shown this somewhat lately but the Rangers have shown resilicy and then some the last few years. Will take great effort to finish this. Man, the NHL playoff atmosphere is so darn intense. This intensity sure had the usual not so crazy Lightning crowd going slap-jack-crazy. The players sure could use more of that.

Go Lightning !!!!

Kreider will run into Bishop in the 2nd period. Rag$ fans will make all sorts of excuses for him like they did last year. That's my prediction.
