The defense is much better than in 2010, but that offense scored about 100 more goals. They were an unbelievable machine. But this team has for more balance.

This team feels different. They actually have a goalie and defense. This is the least nervous I've been about a Caps series since I can remember.

Is Orphik still horrible god awful over rated as I was told after last free agency period?

I believe he is a big reason that the Caps are solid. As well as Ovi being transformed into Super Stevie Y.

Played with fire for the last five minutes. Too many giveaways and way too many chances for the Rangers. shut it down.

My biggest concern for this team right now is the disappearance of the bottom 6. Hopefully, tonight's Beagle sighting is the start of something.

I like how Washington has passed around the net. The selfishness seems to have disappeared tonight.

How is team USA still unbeaten in the IIHF? They've sent the worst team since 1984 to that thing.

Orpik is still slower than dirt and is wildly overpaid, but I'll give the man credit: he has, by all accounts, transformed the locker room and changed the team ethic. This team hits, and hits you hard, and I'll admit... that starts with Orpik.

That's paying a lot for "culture" but this team needed a culture change after the Oates Era.

Playing conservatively. Trying to keep the lead with a nice defensive shape, and we have had quite a few great counter attacks.

What is it with the Caps? They can't make it easy on themselves ever

It's like period to period shift to shift it's a roll of a dice what you get.

Well the Caps have "turtled" all year with a meaningful lead under Trotz. However; those last 2 minutes were aggressive. Geeeez. My face Can't take a penalty late...
