Thats possible. I think people who shrug off talk of European teams as "not gonna happen" are not paying attention.

Why not just move the Jags to L.A.???? The Rams have a history in St.louis... Why make St Louis fans suffer????

The Rams have a lot more history in L.A.

The travel makes having one team over there a logistical nightmare, and while London could probably have enough fans to support a team, what other cities would? There are certainly cities big enough but what five cities have enough legitimate NFL interest (as opposed to it being a novelty that'll wear off after three years and then we'll have a team stuck in Europe playing in front of 10k fans every Sunday) to permanently support a team?

This could turn into a very interesting discussion.

which is ultimately the current issue. london can support a team and after that, nothing. and thats a problem cause you have to have at least 5 teams in europe

My picks would be Dublin, Madrid/Barcelona, Lisbon and Berlin. For some reason, I could never see the NFL sticking in France or Italy

dublin would be a good choice, i think the spanish could support a team as well as the french and italians

If that ever happened and both teams were good, imagine the mass alcohol consumption at a London/Dublin game.....

Yes they do... But they have been gone a LONG time and they have been in St, Louis long enough to win A SB and get to another one... Plus they are becoming a real good team with Fisher as coach.. It would be a shame to take them away from those fans that have stuck with them until they got good again... The L.A. fans don't care about any football team. They don't deserve the Rams back.

I don't see Ireland with its own team. The NFL would be better off giving current teams territory in other countries.

Some are very natural fits. Ireland for the Steelers (as well as South Korea until a few years ago).

Mexico could be divided up among the Cowboys, Texans, Chargers, and Cardinals. Italy could be the Giants, Jets, and Eagles. The Bengals and/or Bears could get Poland.

Ok. And I hated that they left... Just like the Cards leaving St.Louis.... I am old school, but moving the Rams back to L.A. would leave me feeling empty... BTW why don't you want the Jags??? The way you talk they would support them just as good as the Rams.right??????????

of course they would PEEJ, but if you were to ask people in LA, most would prefer the rams coming back

Biggest problem with Europe is you don't want to expand by that many teams at once.

Other problem with expansion is 32 is the perfect number of teams for scheduling. Every team plays four first place opponents, 4 second place opponents, four third place opponents, and four last place opponents. They also play every team in the NFL at least once in a 4-year cycle, and each fan base gets to see every team at least once in an 8-year cycle.

34 teams would be more awkward to work with. I suppose you could add a 17th, neutral site game, and the fifth-place teams play each other once and each of the other 16 teams in their conference once. I'm guessing they could put together a workable schedule formula from that...but it's still not as nice and neat as what they have now.
