New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, a member of the league's committee on Los Angeles opportunities, predicted two teams in L.A. by next year.
"We have some real good options," Kraft said. "And now we'll see what happens in the end game."
quote:
John Mara of the New York Giants, also on the committee, didn't commit to the idea of two teams, but indicated that a return is imminent.
quote:
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, who is bullish on the Inglewood stadium, said, "A deal is in the crosshairs"
quote:
The league has said no teams will relocate for this season, but has left open the possibility of one or two teams moving to L.A. for 2016. The two-month window to submit a relocation request is January through February, although the NFL has discussed accepting applications earlier to give teams more time to move
however, an the NFLs executive VP said that it might not go down as soon as others are saying
quote:
"We have a good chance of getting back to Los Angeles soon, but I cannot speculate on exactly who, how or when," said NFL Executive Vice President Eric Grubman, appointed by Commissioner Roger Goodell to oversee the L.A. market. "There are too many variables that we don't control, so if you guess now, you have a high probability of being wrong."

Move the Rams to LA and the Jaguars to St. Louis. Everybody is happy except for the 25 Jacksonville fans.

If Kraft says it, it's happening

This shite changes so much.
Sounding again like the Raiders will be getting a new stadium in Oakland.
Oakland signed agreement with Alameda County a few weeks ago so now they have the city and county together on the project.

I wonder if they considered expansion.

Rams going back home.
I used to think it was a sure thing but I think now if St Louis comes up with the public financing for the Stadium that they will stay.
There is no way they are going to let Stan Kroenke move from a market willing to put over a 1/2 billion dollars of public money into a stadium while leaving one of Oakland/Sand Diego toiling in markets where they have been trying to get stadiums built for a decade.

It wouldnt shock me one bit to see them turn the screws on St Louis, San Diego and Oakland to get new stadiums built then turn around an award expansion franchise to L.A.

St Louis is a baseball town but its also a good sports town. All the teams get good support here.
It seems to be the talking point for people who dont really know St Louis. "St Louis is only a baseball town blah blah blah"

I'm sure it's different this time.

Why not just move the Jags to L.A.???? The Rams have a history in St.louis... Why make St Louis fans suffer????

Expansion takes away leverage for teams putting screws to markets trying to get new venues.
Its wouldnt surprise me in the least that once the threee most glaring stadium problems (Oakand,St Louis and San Diego) find resolution that they would award an expansion team to L.A. given all three build new stadiums in their current market then use and opening for a 2nd team in LA in a couple years to turn the screws on Carolina and Tampa Buffalo and Tennessee to build stadiums over the next decade.
The NFL wants public money in their stadiums. They want the public to own them and run them while they bleed all the revenue.

NFL has a perfectly even number of teams in each division and conference right now and I have a hard time seeing another expansion right now but who knows?
