Of course I am, that is how these things work.

Look, the 4 games is harsh, but the CBA gives Goodell this type of authority. I don't have much sympathy for a player when he is being punished under the terms to which he and his union agreed.

So the issue is your imprecision, not my density, right?

Or, maybe both.

You really want to go back and forth because I said appeal instead of suing in federal court in order to get someone else to repeal the situation?

Is that not easy enough to infer?

To everyone saying he didn't provide the texts...

The Patriots, Brady and his attourney all state Tom printed out and gave Goodell all relevant emails and texts. He then also gave them all the phone numbers for all the texts. I agree he shouldnt have destroyed the phonne but really if he did what they say then he fully cooperated... Goodell has not acknowleged they gave him anything which is a big part of the uproar by the public... If it is proven they did what they were asked to do then Goodell will look bad. Also Robert Kraft confirmed too the organization gave Wells lots of phones including Bellicheks... so..... Goodell is relying on misinformation still, "anonymous" leaks to ESPN, and fanning the anger of the fans to push this ahead... science still proves there is no case here and nothing Brady should know about. We will see where this goes....

But whenever he had no obligation to hand over that phone, I don't really see how that matters.

Well it makes his excuse for not being fully cooperative flimsy. Which leads into how Brady's actions were detrimental to the confidence in the honest conduct of NFL games.

And the CBA, which was bargained for by the players, grants Goodell the power to fine or suspend players that impact the integrity or even the appearance of integrity of the game.

From the 2011-2020 NFL CBA:
quote:

14. INTEGRITY OF GAME. Player recognizes the detriment to the League and professional football that would result from impairment of public confidence in the honest and orderly conduct of NFL games or the integrity and good character of NFL players. Player therefore acknowledges his awareness that if he accepts a bribe or agrees to throw or fix an NFL game; fails to promptly report a bribe offer or an attempt to throw or fix an NFL game; bets on an NFL game; knowingly associates with gamblers or gambling activity; uses or provides other players with stimulants or other drugs for the purpose of attempting to enhance on-field performance; or is guilty of any other form of conduct reasonably judged by the League Commissioner to be detrimental to the League or professional football, the Commissioner will have the right, but only after giving Player the opportunity for a hearing at which he may be represented by counsel of his choice, to fine Player in a reasonable amount, to suspend Player for a period certain or indefinitely, and/or to terminate this contract.

Which Goodell, himself, violated when he did not give Brady a hearing within a week of the announcement of his suspension.

FYI-CBA says hearing will take place within 10 days of notice of appeal, but also has a clause that says that time limit may be extended by mutual agreement or by the hearing officer upon appropriate motion.

Yes. They did. I already read Goodells full 20 page report. He states that Brady's camp did turn in a spread sheet of all the numbers contacted by text and call and said that the NFL can use that info to track down information they felt was important. Not only did they have this information, but they had phone access to nearly all Patriots employees involved in this. THEY HAD THE ACCESS TO THESE CONVERSATIONS ALREADY

Are you seriously telling me Wells didn't have evidence at this point? Brady complied. He shouldn't/and won't serve four games because Goodell and the NFL are nitpicking
