Those detailed records were a list of numbers he called or sent text messages to. They contained no content. Again, only provided after the hearing.

“I look forward to hearing directly from Tom if there’s new information or there’s information that can be helpful to us in getting this right. I want to hear directly from Tom on that.” - Roger Goodell

Roger Goodell didn't want to take the time to look through the records and yet he waited more than a month to issue his decision.

what Brady is now saying about the destruction of his phone was not said under oath when he was questioned about it.

Can I get a link to the transcripts of Brady's exact words, please?

Damn I just read the statement from Kraft. He went off.

Also

quote:

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, "inside the building" there is a belief at Patriots headquarters that suspended QB Tom Brady "ends up on the field." RapSheet isn't specific about when the Patriots expect Brady "on the field," but this presumably is in reference to Week 1. The Patriots are staying optimistic that Brady's four-game suspension could be overturned or postponed in a court of law. We've seen betting books take the Patriots' Opening Day game against the Steelers off the board while the situation plays out.

Brady and the Pats need to take their medicine with this one. They have a long history of cheating and shady activity, so if all they get is their star player missing 4 games they are getting off lightly.

Thanks roger

Largest penalty in league history is getting off lightly? They were also stripped of a 1st and 4 rounder as well as a large sum of money

For the biggest cheaters in league history, I think it is appropriate.

So if they go to federal court and Brady lies about destroying the phone, does he go to jail for perjury?

2 violations in 15 years. One which has shaky evidence and is under appeal. You're being a little dramatic

What would he lie about exactly? He already admitted to destroying the phone and there no real way to prove the reason why he did it. It's his personal property he can do with it what he wants.

Thought NFL had proof he didn't destroy the phone as he didn't get another till after the met with him and he claimed he destroyed the phone.
I think Brady will look cute in an orange jumpsuit for 1 month personally.

Yes. They have a history of cheating, Brady should have been suspended for a season.

I don't know what he's referring to but Lester Munson states in his article that the Wells investigators already found an old phone that Brady had not destroyed. That ruins the whole "security reasons" explanation Brady gave for why he had his phone destroyed the day he met with investigators.

More than enough to meet the applicable standard.

Article I read yesterday said Brady did not get a new phone until 3 days after originally being interviewed and telling Wells he destroyed the phone when he got another..... run on sentence

But whenever he had no obligation to hand over that phone, I don't really see how that matters. It's his property. It looks bad sure, but legally I don't see how it matters. I'm no lawyer though.

Munson also thought Aaron Hernandez was gonna walk too fwiw
