Trying to make him in to a damn PG.

It should be damn near impossible for Zion to have 2 rebounds in a quarter nevermind a whole game

and they gave up a trillion points and lost badly. Going down this path Zion will never sniff an MVP and will turn in to a taller Dennis Smith

I get what you are saying but come on, a taller dennis smith.

Rebounding is sometimes about mentality and zion just doesn't always have it.

Zion is the explosive Tractor Trailor with marginally (and diminishing) better knees.

Can’t pass, can’t shoot, can’t jump fast enough to dominate boards consistently.

Pels had to draft him, but he isn’t a franchise-changer.

Some really bad takes in this thread. The Pels 2 best players are 23 and 20. It takes time to learn how to win in the nba. Let’s at least wait until Zion is 21 to make a judgement on him. I think it’s just really strange when fat middle aged men on message boards hate on a guy that is averaging 24, 7, 3 on over 60% shooting. Let the young man continue to develop and in the meantime focus and appreciate the things that he can already do at an elite level rather than harp on what he can’t do yet less than 50 games into his career.

I don’t think any of that is true.

Pels don’t need Zion to dominate the boards. They’re one of the best rebounding teams in the league as it is.

I can agree with this, but by the time they learn how to win they won’t be in New Orleans.

Zion should of been grabbing 10+ boards from day one(and in his prime he should lead the NBA every single year) but the NBA is insistent on him being a fricking PG

That’s the way the league works.

I’m a Spurs fan. I didn’t have any problem with seeing them win rings in ‘99 and ‘03 by dumping the ball into the low post and letting Timmy and Robinson do their thing. It wasn’t boring, it was winning. And I’d relish the opportunity to see two great bigs go 1-on-1 down low.

Instead, I feel like the game can be boring because offenses just jack up 3s repeatedly. There’s no variety in the game.

1. Why do you think initiating the offense prevents someone from rebounding?

2. The vast majority of Zion’s rebounds are off of his own misses. If he’s shooting 14-15, that cuts the opportunities down a wee bit.

And he's 20 years old and damn near unguardable. Even if he marginally improves and never makes a big leap he's going to be a top 10 player for years.

he shouldnt just be limited to rebounding his own misses. He should own the glass on both ends.
