Best sporting event of the year. Looking forward to 4 solid days of golf on TV and my wife wanting to blow her head off.

My wife watches one tournament a year...The Masters. We eat pimento cheese sandwiches, drink sweet tea, and climax together while playing Verne's "Yes, Sir!" on loop.

A tradition unlike any other.

What clubs does Tiger hit these days?

He's using Bridgestone balls. Does he still hit Nike or has he switched since Nike threw in the towel?

The Partridge Inn will be the best spot in town all week. Classic old hotel with a good bar and huge porch

Are there other events going on at the hotel or just the bar area? Are slacks and button down ok or do I need to wear a sports coat?

You'll be fine in slacks and a button down. Just look decent and you shouldn't have a problem. If you are going for dinner, I would wear a sport coat but not mandatory. You'll see a bunch of former PGA guys and lots of talent there.

He has to win this week at Houston to even get in the field.

Seeing that picture above of Brady playing, how does one become a member? Obviously I know normal folks like us won't ever be, but let's say I'm the starting QB of the Patriots. Do I just call up the club and say I want to join? If you have enough money are you in or do you have to have some kind of clout as well?

No... you definitely cannot do that. You have to be asked. I'm trying to remember who it was, but someone tried to buy their way into being a member because they had so much money and it did not go over well.

A lot of it is just being connected with the right people, and having a job that gives you a certain status.

bill gates, i think ... i know he's a member now, but i think i remember reading that he essentially asked to join, but was told 'no' (and was a bit rankled by that) ... this was when he had just become the world's wealthiest, so maybe his money wasn't quite old enough ...

No need to join. Their rates are pretty reasonable. I think you can get 18 holes with a cart for 50 bucks. They don't advertise, so you have to ask at the pro shop.

Dechambeau will have a top 10 finish this year. Place him in your pool.

You may want to rethink your bet... Bryson Dechambeau is not in the Masters field this year. LINK

If he wins in Houston this week he will get into the field.
