He's still an all time great and may go down as the best ever.
But, i dont know how losing 2 superbowls doesnt affect his legacy. There's obviously 2 Ls there as opposed to 5-0.
I do think we'd look at him differently were he 5-0 right now in SBs. So for me, I can't help but look at him slightly differently at 3-2 than I would have at 5-0.

He had that 20 yarder with Gronk,
That was his best throw of the game imo.
Was the 50 yarder the one that was picked?
He threw a few nice passes to branch, just thought Eli played better.
I've been wowed by him in the past, just not tonight

He will be back most likely. Brady is the kind of cat that keeps coming back at ya. Just a player

Yep, jump ball with arguably his best player (albeit hurt) and a well known nonathletic LB.

Brady throws 5 yard outs, curls, and slants and a lot of check-downs to RBs out of the backfield. That's why he completed 15 in a row. He gets too much credit for doing too little. He threw 2 passes down the field on back to back plays to Welker which was a bad pass and would've had to be a great catch and then the next pass was off target as well. Then Eli comes out and puts one on a dime 38 yards downfield to Manningham. Eli > Brady

Seemed like a really panicked underthrown ball to me

Eli > Brady
There aren't enough emoticons on this page to explain the hilarity behind that statement.

He was today, but its laughable to say that for a season

No. The Pats had better invest in some defense-oriented draft picks, tho.

They were pretty much equal. I want to see this NE defense with one more even replacement level safety. Igehedebo (sp) wouldn't be on most team's practice squads, and he is plain awful against the pass. I would be incredibly surprised if their was not an injection of youth into that spot.

Bring some substance with your bullshite next time. Brady's game has never impressed me and I hate to watch the Patriots play because of the way their offense is designed. Eli made some great throws and I didn't see ANY all night from Brady.

Just think, if manningham doesn't make that catch, something Brady had nothing to do with, this board is asking if he is the best ever.
So many don't seem to realize these kinds of absurdities.

Brady has a higher completion percentage, more yards, 115 more tds, the same amount of interceptions, and a QB rating 12 points higher than Eli in his career. Tom Brady has thrown for 300 TDs, Manning only 185. Brady has played in 40 more games, but has the same amount of interceptions.

They need to focus on quality instead of quantity. Their strategy is to stockpile mid to late round picks, then spray and pray at the draft.

They weren't equal. Eli made the great throws today and Brady had the costly mistake.
Then again, look at the defenses they were going against. Much tougher game for Brady especially with gronk hurt

Sounds like a personal problem to me. Oh, and their offense has radically shifted at least 3 times since Brady has been there.

Matt Cassel put up good numbers in the New England system and he is an average (at best) NFL QB. I'm not impressed by the way Brady throws the ball. He is the best QB ever at the 5-10 yard pass.

several drops late in the game, the ball was there the receivers just didnt close the deal,,thats not on brady
The only drop that wasn't Bradys fault was the hernandez drop. Brady has been throwing balls behind receivers since the AFC championship. Bad time to start sucking, could have something to do with that left shoulder

His legacy is that he won 3 super bowls, above average defenses most of his time in NE, and his team won 11 games without him in 08

They went from a perfect season to 11 wins, with a well groomed backup.
Its such a shitty argument. The absence of Brady and success with another QB doesn't nullify his effectiveness.
