It's kind of a joke*. I know this. You know this. Freaking Marcellus knows it. And yet I still felt compelled to start a thread. I got mad love for this game, I suppose.

Here is the sked. Since nearly every damn tournament below is called the "Aegon Open", I will refer to them by other names.

ATP
Week 1 -- June 8 - June 14
Topshelf Open (250)
Mercedes Cup (250)

Week 2:
Halle (500)
Queen's Club (500)

Week 3:
Nottingham (250)

Week 4 -- begins June 29
Wimbledon**

WTA
Week 1 -- June 8 - June 14
Topshelf Open
Nottingham

Week 2:
Birmingham

Week 3:
Eastbourne

Week 4:
Wimby

What if I told you that I think Genie Bouchard is overrated as a general matter, but that this picture gave me a modicum of movement?

**It'll get its own thread, of course.

Marcos Fatdatis took Rafa to three sets. Better than another option, but still not exactly enough to inspire in me any confidence that he'll make a deep run at Wimby.

Murray is my pick for Wimbledon.

Nadal should have an easier time against Tomic than he did against Baghdatis, IMO.

Bags is actually one of the best shotmakers in the game and a player that I like quite a bit. He's a joy to watch live. I do have to give him a hard time, though, because his career arc doesn't do justice to his level of game, and that's certainly at least partially -- and more like mostly -- due to his lack of attention to fitness.

Not sure about that. Tomic is a tricky guy to play.

I just wanna see Rafa go relatively deep in these tuneups so that he gets some grass court reps in. He's quite vulnerable to an early exit defeat if he comes into Wimby basically straight from Court Chatrier

Wow, good call. I had forgotten about that.

Yes, 2006.

I like this one. I was disappointed to see McHale lose today. I'm hoping she will break through like Keys did in Australia.

Grass court play is boring to me these days. I find it too much like hard court ever since lengthening the grass and adding weight to the ball.

I know some found Serve and volley boring, but I find the non existent contrast of surfaces boring.

Dear lord. Her game is in free fall, but I think some publication just said she is the world's most marketable athlete. I guess she'll be OK.

I agree a little with sms on the homogenization of the courts, but there is still hope for the big bombers. Kyrgios blew Rafa off the court last year and Raonic made the semis.

The extra week between the French and Wimbledon is huge. The two big events, Queens and Halle, started immediately after the French. Lots of guys weren't ready to play those tournaments or pulled out of them. Now, they get a week off after Roland Garros, can play the middle week, then go to Wimbledon and prep the week before the event. I wonder if Nole is playing any real tournaments. He usually just does an exhibition.

Fed, Nishikori, Berdych, Monfils, and Tsonga are playing Halle

Murray, Rafa, Stan, Dimitrov, Raonic, Cilic, and Kyrgios playing Queens

This is in your head. If you watch grass court tennis and tell me it's the same as clay or hard, I'll simply call you a blind man or a retard.

Surprised to see Monfils beat Kohl on grass.

Rafa prevailed in 3 again.

Rafa beat Troicki in 2 sets to win Stuttgart. Not a Rafa fan but it's nice to see him have some success on the grass again. Let's see if he can carry it over to Queens this week.

Mahut beat Goffin to win the Topshelf. 2nd time in 3 years that he's won the event as a qualifier. Goffin faded in the 2nd set.

I like Murray to win Queens. He's in the top half of the draw with Grigor in his quarter. Rafa, Milos, and Stan all in the bottom half of the draw, with Rafa and Stan in the same quarter.

Fed and Berdych in top half of the draw at Halle, with Nishikori in the bottom half. Fed usually rolls at Halle, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Berdych take it.

You're the retard Bobby. The courts are no where near the quickness they were due to reasons I've stated. I mean go watch the grass courts pre 2000 and the rules changes. They've effectively turned into a hard court.
